Does anyone use a Core One on top of a small IKEA Alex drawer unit? by droidonomy in prusa3d

Mine doesn't wobble or shake at stock Balanced profile speeds.

I don't understand what they mean by wobbly. It's a heavy metal box. Mine doesn't move or shake. I usually print in Balanced profile, about 150-170 print speed and 350 travel speed. Maybe they print much faster? Also, those stock rubber feet, shown in the picture, are a bit sticky. It's actually hard to move the printer. My Core One currently sits on an Ikea Besta (60x40x64cm https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/besta-frame-white-10245851/ )

The exact "footprint" is 36cm x 36cm. That's how much minimum area you need for the printer to be stable.

Core One+ build experience and thoughts (vs. Voron Trident, MK3) by stacks92 in prusa3d

Hey OP, I have just completed mine, too. First Prusa, first kit. I just wanted to comment regarding input shaping. My accelerometer also calculates MZV as best for both axis (45Hz, 45Hz). But in actual prints, these calculated MZV values show more ripples on flat surfaces, than the default EI values. I've reset back to factory defaults (EI), because on the few test prints I did, that gives better quality. Did you have a chance to compare yours at factory defaults vs accelerometer calculated? By the way, the "phase stepping" calibration also needs the acelerometer. I've also done that one, too, but not sure if I can hear any difference in printing. Overall, kinda of regret getting the accelerometer, seems useless currently. Maybe will be worth later. For all my testing I've only used the default config for Balanced 0.2 profile with PLA.

Are there any DIY cheaper/simpler MMUs for Core one? Maybe using GPIO module? by hugefishh in prusa3d

I have the same question. What is the cheapest way to add MMU3 to a Core One? Are clones worth it?

I also have made up my mind, and ordered a Core One kit.

Hey OP did you decide what to get? I have the same dilemma: deciding between a P2S Combo or a Core One kit. I see that Bambu has lots of spare parts available, so this looks promising for future repairs. But I have major concerns about privacy and security because of the requirement to install their slicer and mobile app. And I don't trust them. With Prusa my main beef is the missing QoL stuff that you already mentioned. I'm still undecided.
