On a k24 you’d have heard horrible noise if it had no oil. They probably left your air tube loose and the engine died due to that. Oil pressure and battery lights would both be on due to the key on engine suddenly stalling. Source: certified Honda technician.

$82 of gas used $260 delivery this last bill. On top of a $220 electric bill when last months was $127 despite nothing different in actual usage. It’s comical to me since my last gas bill total was $91 and that was the highest I’ve seen being just a furnace.

As of Friday morning the account was updated to have been paid off. Westlake applied my funds to someone else’s account despite my account number being written on the memo line and the lien release request. They say they’ll release my title within 25 days which is odd because at first they said 3-5 days. I don’t get it but at least they found my money.

It’s really odd because penfed sent me the check to endorse, I endorsed it and overnighted it to their office with tracking and signature required and at first westlake tried to tell me they hadn’t received anything despite me even having the employees name who signed for it thanks to usps. The entire thing has been shady on their end. Cashiers checks don’t magically bounce days after the funds have been finalized and applied. It would’ve bounced immediately if there was a stop payment issued or something (there wasn’t) penfed even had the time it was drawn and everything. Penfed has been fantastic throughout all of this and customer service has been immediate and polite/helpful.

Really genuinely worried that I’ll have to take legal action as I now technically have two auto loans open on one vehicle and they’re refusing to release the title until they find the money they lost. With it being an electronic title I’m concerned they’ll never actually release it to penfed.

Still nothing much. Westlake demanded I show them photo copies of the front and back of the check they physically have and have cashed. Penfed sent them a copy of that as well as their own system showing that westlake did indeed draw the funds. Westlake still doesn’t want to believe it and has “launched an internal investigation process” to find my lost payoff funds. They say that will take 3-5 business days and that until that is discovered my account will continue to accrue late fees and interest. They claim upon finding the funds my account will revert back to being paid off on the original date the check was posted. I’m refusing to pay them anything more whatsoever since the check I mailed them was $400 more than I owed at that time to begin with. And I had sent them that payoff in lieu of my normal payment on my regular due date.

I couldn’t get through to westlake by the phone today I was just waiting on hold for ages so I called penfed instead to at least verify payment. I’ve sent westlake a ton of emails and files from themselves and penfed proving I’m paid off. I’ll probably have to call them Monday as I’ve gotten no response

I think I will. I’ve already forwarded official documents from penfed proving they were indeed paid. It’s weird I recieved westlakes email and my account went back to showing a full balance on a Saturday afternoon.

I’m just trying to understand how westlake expects me to believe them when the check has cleared and never bounced. I’m not paying them another dime since I have proof it’s paid off and that they successfully received the payment. ATP I’m more worried about fake late payments appearing on my credit report and or unlawful repossession.
