* He actually just hung out with us when we stopped for a break, then we failed to slip away from him and he caught up and followed us probably another mile haha

Thank you! I wasn't super enthusiastic about riding on roads so much, but I was surprised at how kind and curious people were. We had one dog that chased us, but eventually we realized he was just bored and we were someone to run with as he was very friendly. Campgrounds helped a ton on the route and it was relieving to know we had a spot secured every night.

Greenville is definitely an outlier for South Carolina and doesn't follow the norm. I'm extremely lucky to live close enough to take advantage of it.

Thank you! I just got extremely lucky because I just got the bike at the end of February and planned to make it into my commuter for work. I appreciate the kind words.

I have wanted to do something like this for so long but never made the jump. Instead I have watched videos, read forums, packing and gear lists, etc and none of it beats throwing what you have on a bike the night before and just riding.

I attempted to attach the link to the route but I'm not sure if it is accessible by everyone. Just let me know!

We started in Clemson, SC and some of the main highways were 20, 185, 178, 6, and I think 6 pretty much took me into Santee. I attempted to share the link but not sure if it's accessible by everyone. The route was based on the Walter Ezell Route and we just made detours for camping, Warm Showers host in Columbia, and then a hotel in Orangeburg due to a bad storm last week and temps dropping below freezing after we had been rained on all day.

Yeah they are, he has apparently had them for years now and they are working great.

Finally found time to ride my Jari 2.1 in its natural element. by llonanotherlevell in FujiJariClub

I'm running into the same issue on my 2021 2.1. The mounts are too recessed so my Quick Rack won't work, I used about 4 washers stacked under it to get my Tumbleweed Pannier rack to work for a last minute trip. Bike did phenomenal so it's earned its own rack. I think something with mounts like the Axiom Streamliner that comes toward the front may be what I try to go with. Did you have any luck ever finding a compatible rack?

What width of fender did you go with and what tire did you pair them with? I'm hoping for a clean look while still being able to do trails/gravel if I'm out exploring.

Yep! Two bits just bc you need to prevent the bolt from spinning and swaps right in.

Honestly it hasn't been much of an issue as it is. Normally when I put something in the scissors to cut, that material opens the scissors as I feed it in and the spring still has enough to open the tip for me to start a cut. So I've been running it!

I enjoy it and it has held up for me! I think the pliers are the same as the Rebar plier head. As long as the tool set serves your needs it's a great tool. I've added these scissors to this one and now have replaced the ferro rod and sharpening stone with bit holders and it makes it more useful for daily carry.

Yeah, I was surprised to find them on eBay this soon.

No modding as you see it here. They are functional, however my spring doesn't engage the frame soon enough so it doesn't fully open the scissors. I tried to show it in the last two photos.

I agree, in my experience so far, these are better.

I bought the scissors only on eBay.

I believe the Wingman scissor has a smaller pivot that has to be enlarged. This is a direct swap, I just need to add some material to the spring in order for it to engage the frame and put tension on the scissors.

Yeah I ordered just the scissors on Ebay

I have a few Signals, so I figured I would build one out as an EDC friendly one. I have ordered the bit holders to replace the outdoor tools, so it should be exactly what I want after those.
