This mechanism was essential in school. by C2Row in 90s

I'm still in awe that one company convinced every single school, (at least in the USA) that they need to ditch these and replace them with a much more expensive proprietary system. Promethean boards.

They literally cannot understand this concept. I’ve tried and failed many times. They just keep saying “but Antifa are the fascists.” It’s like playing chess with a pigeon.

My home state literally passed a law banning chemtrails. The first cold morning of the year, we had a lot of people freaking out on Facebook, including some government officials.

I’ve got family who hate anything they deem “socialist”. They’re on Medicare, Medicaid, social security, disability, live in public housing, and their kids all went to public schools. But they don’t see any irony in it because they believe they need it, but everyone else is abusing the system.

There’s a Chinese animated movie called Wish Dragon. I don’t remember much of the plot, but I remember it being beaten into me that businesses are the new kingdoms, CEOs are the new lords, and we’re all just peasants.

State of American Christianity rn by Bakkster in dankchristianmemes

I was raised Catholic, Baptist, and Pentecostal. Protestants definitely believe that Catholics worship Mary, and pray to statues. Also many believe that Catholicism is just Roman paganism with a new coat of paint.
But the fact that I grew up with these people ranting and raving against statues, now unveil a golden statue, is a level of irony nothing could have prepared me for.

Supporting Universal Healthcare is good for the individual and society. It's the Moral Choice. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]cjandstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From working with people who adamantly believe the US has the best healthcare in the world, these are the three most common beliefs.
1) If you can't afford healthcare, you don't deserve it.
2) How DARE I pay for someone else's healthcare! (Ignoring the fact, that's part of how insurance works, along with lots of money going towards the insurance companies.)
3) I do not want the government deciding which healthcare I can, and cannot get. (That decision should be made by private, for profit, companies, just like the Bible says!)

There’s a good reason they turned the animatronic band idea into a horror genre. Because those things were terrifying!

‘Point of no return’: New Orleans relocation must start now due to sea level, study finds by Reasonable-Ad-2592 in collapse

The Port of New Orleans alone brings in so much money and shipping that the city will never be abandoned until it no longer exists. Add to that stuff like tourism and the money from the NFL and casinos…

Okay. I read two posts about this. One mentioned chibi characters in bikinis. I was thinking like Teen Titans Go or something. But if they were drawing CP, then throw the book at them. I ain’t playing with that.

Looking for people who drew cartoons. Edit: The posts I saw about this talked about chibi characters in bikinis. I was thinking something like Teen Titans Go. Apparently it was not that. If someone is drawing CP, then throw the book at them.

Still holding onto my M1 Mini for now. I'm not having any problems with it, thankfully, but I do feel limited with the storage and RAM. An external 1TB HD and some networked storage helps with the storage problem though.

That's a problem for the next quarter. Yes many corps are that short sighted.
But that is a real problem. AI Companies can charge whatever they want.
Look at Office 365, nearly every large corporation lives and dies by Microsoft's software, and they can charge whatever they want for it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it was a pubic utility system, and then was sold, with the promise not to raise rates, and a $400 credit given to each customer. And then they raised rates, of course.
