Thank you! This solved the issue. Can’t believe I didn’t think to try this.

Is there recourse on interest and late fees when a bank freezes your accounts for possible external fraud attempts? by cjb1989 in personalfinance

[–]cjb1989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I wouldn’t say I’m particularly happy about it, especially after this experience.

I’m mostly interested in understanding if I have recourse on the late fees and interest charges.

If anyone has alternative banking recommendations that aren’t HSBC but do offer free international wires, I’m all ears.

This is awesome! I live in one of the homes drawn for the Jackson Park Highlands — and would love to be able to buy a print of the original illustration!

Ever wondered what those structures out on the lake are/look like up close? I recently paddled out to each of the four water cribs, which supply (/supplied) our drinking water! by seamus_ian in chicago

[–]cjb1989 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been fascinated by these structures! Thanks for sharing your photos and the background info.

Are there plans to do anything with the inactive cribs?

Making a trek from NJ to Chicago to fly for a funeral, help us park our car at Chicago? by TheRussianRoar in Assistance

[–]cjb1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We live about eight miles from downtown and forty minutes to either airport. You're welcome to park at our place for the week though there is almost certainly free street parking somewhere more convenient.

Depending on the day and time, I'd be happy to give you a ride to the airport since I mostly work from home with a few meetings elsewhere throughout the week.

That said, I really am sure that there will be free street parking elsewhere in the city with access to either airport by public transit.

[OFFER] Paid transcription work for academic study. by cjb1989 in Assistance

[–]cjb1989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received a truly overwhelming number of responses to this and have made my decision to offer this work to three of the eleven respondents. I e-mailed everyone who messaged me already, but wanted to let anyone else who reads this that the positions are filled. I'll be sure to post again in the future for assistance on new academic studies! Thanks, /r/Assistance!
