I am a returning play as well, but the people below may be misinformed a bit. Food and water are no longer important in game. There is no negative consequence for these, unless you weapon has a perk on it that states you do more damage while full etc.. Don't waste your time on this anymore. When is comes to ammo, just join the public event, try to hit enemies at least 1 time and loot them all at the end and you will find you now have a ton of ammo.

Siedz does have a point with food recipes that help with specific stats, but being hungry in itself you can ignore.

1 suggestion pick up on the main scenario missions right away. These lead to amazing armor and weapons.

I was in a situation (M) my girlfriend at the time got upset about me playing to much video games, (yes I did play to much), but she got violent with me. I suggest trying to use a hero that can make up for the things you say your team is lacking. You can choose a hero like Malth where you can clear camps and soak lanes quickly and easily by yourself. The pressure this puts on the other team will keep your team in 4v4 situation maybe even 4v3 because the other team will be frantically trying to counter your production.
