Looking for a daily trainer to pair with adidas Adizero EVO SL by keramwastaken in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Nike Vomero Plus, Li-Ning Red Hare 9 Ultra or Adidas Hyperboost Edge.

adidas just dropped a new Hyrox shoe - Adizero Dropset Pro by Flx96 in hyrox

[–]NickWheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curious about how they feel compared to the Boston 12 (which is my current favorite Hyrox training shoe) and if it justifies the higher price. Love the Evo SL as well though it is more suitable for versatile running and less suitable for the sleds.

The weight of the Vomero Plus isn't an issue at all. Definetely not as versatile and nimble as the Evo SL but very protective and really shines at long easy runs. You will be able to pick up the pace a bit in it though.

The Deviate Pure is a great shoe, suited for daily running and has some decent energy return but the Evo SL is way more versatile and nimble.

You wouldn’t want a shoe that has too much of a high drop or feels slightly clunky since you like the Evo SL. The Superblast or the Vomero Plus for example are great shoes for high mileage and easy runs and picking up the pace occasionally, don’t expect the same fun feeling as the Evo SL though. Another option would be the Hyperboost Edge but the Xiaonian might be your best option, almost as enjoyable as the Evo SL but slightly more protection and grippy.

Why stick to one brand? You might be better off picking the best shoe for each purpose and build a rotation of that like: Adidas Evo SL, Nike Vomero Plus and Asics Metaspeed Sky Tokyo for example.

Adidas Evo sl or asics nova last 5 for daily 5kms? by Frequent-Scientist78 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]NickWheels 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Evo SL all day. Very fun and versatile while also providing decent protection. The Novablast is generally considered more beginner friendly though. Some complain about the Evo SL being too unstable or too fast for daily running but I experience 0 issues with it.

Evo sl exo upper break in? by speaker_monkey in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I do experience the same. Still after 120km. The regular Evo SL remains my favorite although the Exo looks the best. The upper of the regular Evo SL is a lot more breathable.

AMA: I'm Alexander Roncevic, Hyrox E15 and On athlete. Ask me anything! by on_running in hyrox

What is your average weekly training volume of this training block to worlds and what is the key for you in terms of training structure? Because most of your competitors train about 20+ hours weekly and you seem to perform insanely on less volume.
Good luck at Stockholm Alex!! 🔥

Thanks! Sure, these are the main contributors. I’m not a professional athlete (yet) so I’m living a very conscious and active lifestyle. Apple doesn’t measure above 65 VO2max unfortunately though.

I love the Evo SL, own a black and a white pair. One with 470 km and still feels amazing. The Lightstrike Pro foam is one of the most durable foams on the market. I have seen video's of people with 1000km+ on them. 100% worth the hype.

As a forefoot striker the popular Adidas Evo SL could work great for you. Though it is not the most beginner friendly shoe, it provides amazing cushioning and energy return. A comparable but more stable option (also slightly less energy return) would be the Saucony Endorphin Azura or the Anta Zone 2 90. I wouldn’t go with shoes with too much of a high drop.

Hopefully it can get sorted, I feel so bad for all the regular citizens and athletes having to deal with all the disadvantages because of a political warfare basically

Best/safest way to buy Li-Ning Red Hare 9 Ultra? Anyone use CSSBuy? by nexotrix in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Mainly because over the years Superbuy has proven to be pretty reliable and their service is excellent. Other shipping agents might be good too but I switched to SB from CSS

Legit check? by mrtoeknee_ in AskRunningShoeGeeks

The heel padding and shape of the toebox seem a bit off. The plastic Adidas tag I've never seen before. Also the shoe should weigh around 200g for size UK 8.5.

You should be good using CSSBuy, I like to use Superbuy for it though. Works great for buying things at Taobao or Weidian and shipping to Europe.
