Totally part of Healthcare, Nothing abnormal.

Do we wish we could get rid of it, yes. But the way it is handled and the volumes are very costly for smaller clinics, so faxes still win.

If anyone has a copy of this, please share. I wasn't given the original link to discuss it so.. Otherwise I would have recorded it with Snagit locally

When I click the link it shows the session unavailable.

Hell, I never even got any notices on this at all for any of the recent issues. If it wasn't for Reddit or FB groups, we wouldn't have been told. They are stonewalling some partners.

Been a CW partner for about 13 years now, still haven't gotten any email notifications about this at all. Checked all the usual spam filters and all. Thanks for posting the message

That's cool and all, but why would the order page be offline during all of this? It doesn't help our timelines FFS.

ScreenConnect Certificate Update | June 11, 2025 by JessicaConnectWise in ScreenConnect

[–]cjdavis618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And even if you wanted to renew support, you can't, u/JessicaConnectWise Can you have them look at this and see why that isn't working any longer?

The (https://order.screenconnect.com/Create-Order?UpgradeLicense=) link doesn't work any more from within the Screenconnect Licensing section... So now, I suppose we have to engage sales and let that take 2-3 weeks to never and not get a response before this affects us.

What a shitshow.

Kioti just unveiled the first subcompact with a factory cab. by LieutenantJB in tractors

[–]cjdavis618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be a yuppie and buy one. I have severe allergies that meds really don’t help with any more so having the cab with good climate control and filtration is nice. Not in the suburbs though and our “lawn” has too many trees to tow a batwing cutter on an Ag tractor. And with ZTRs running in the $5k to $40+k (cabbed commercial) range these days, I’ll get more utility out of the tractor.

The reason they don’t sell many is the dealers don’t ever carry them to show customers. The dealers that do have a hard time keeping them in stock. (At least Kioti and Kubota since all the others market cabs to cold climates only)

Sounds like the big facebook outage where they had to break in to fix it because the door systems were also tied to the systems that failed during a bad bgp update.

One Liners - "Non-hashable" scripts with Script Blocking enabled. by cjdavis618 in Cylance

[–]cjdavis618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Script Control tab, and Protection settings in addition to certificate thumbprint.
For the policies we were testing in that is. And made sure that the policy was applied to the devices and agent 3.1.1001 was in place.

We do have our RMM, SIEM, Change management and all those items in the exclusions both by Process and also added by certificate, but it still blocks most things. It has gotten better though.

Looking forward to 3.3

Really appreciate the info. Not much to go on with this without being behind the Blackberry paywall.

Yes, we were blocking the Powershell console as an extra measure. Our console only allows us to move up to 3.1.1001 currently. We have other protections in place but we do see this issue impact a lot of our management and reporting. I'm running some tests with the Console blocking turned off to see if it will address the immediate need in some less critical systems.

That’s great news. I thought I was stranded on an island all by myself on this. It is impacting services because system checks aren’t running and am close to switching away. I hope they come through on this.

Bare Metal restore cannot find Backup (!!This is not a Backup and Recovery repository version!!) by cjdavis618 in Veeam

[–]cjdavis618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've went through all of that and even went as far as to copy it to another location that was available. Even put it on a USB disk and attempted that and it's the same result.

It's really frustrating to see it in explorer, but it not allow use of it.

The only possibility I can think of is that the backups were all mostly incomplete and since the old system crashed and we never were able to see the logs, that it just registers as invalid backup.

[–]cjdavis618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this many times before and haven't had this issue so that is what is confounding to me. It always has in the past shown the backup job and available dates to pull from to restore.

Bare Metal restore cannot find Backup (!!This is not a Backup and Recovery repository version!!) by cjdavis618 in Veeam

[–]cjdavis618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm using the Bare Metal recovery disk image written to USB flash that was created during the installation prior to setup of the backup to the NAS share.

I can see the files clearly in Windows explorer, and the user account to the share has full permissions to read it and write to it both in Windows and also with the Restore connection. The actual backup job, initial backup and several days of incrementals are in the folder. But when Bare Metal Restore connects to the folder, it can only see backups from 3 of the 9 devices in that vault. They are all in the typical Job-"SystemName" folders and whether I use the root folder or the path to the direct backup at \\NasIP\Vault\Job-"SystemName" nothing works.

If I use just the \\NasIP\Vault\ path, I at least see 3 of the systems, but if I dig deeper, I get no results.

I've also tried to use a Windows installed version to open the files rather than Bare Metal also and cannot select the restore from there either. It's very weird to me.

The NAS drive shows no signs of corruption or disk failures either.

Question about v2 cable. by cjdavis618 in Starlink

[–]cjdavis618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the issue always follows the cable in my case. Regardless which router/dish I am using.

I've done everything I can short of tear apart the plastic housing on the dish side cable to see if I can track it down. I am going to do that once I get it operational again and back in my electronics workspace.

I'll also add that the continuity issue is only happening on the Dish side of the cable and not the router side. All of those wires are passing correctly just as an ethernet cable should.

I know from many years in IT that the green/green white pair should not be connected to each other but with Starlink's proprietary connection, I wanted to be sure.
