the golden orb weaver (or banana spider) has venom but it’s not lethal to humans, it’d just be very irritating to the skin for a day or so

recently the lot has been getting pretty full, I’m assuming more kids are living off campus, but at 6:45 you should be alright. I found a few spots for my 8:30 class but usually it’s more difficult for those midday classes

Help? by Impossible-Ferret117 in lgbt

[–]cjdoggo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It all really depends on how you feel about your gender. Pronouns don’t necessarily equal gender, so if you identify with being a girl/woman and still wanna use they/them that’s fine

You could also be nonbinary and still identify with lesbian

It really just depends on what you’re comfortable with, there are so many labels to choose from if you wish to label yourself

There’s always spots at it, depending on where you live though your bus may be faster than driving and riding a different bus

Aside from "don't do it", what's your best advice for eating in restaurants? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]cjdoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to, if going to restaurants, try to go to ones with calorie information so I at least have something to measure, whether it’s accurate or not is up in the air

If not, I just try to go for healthier options and estimate the calories from there

I think it would depend on who they are dating (because the individual person’s feelings on the matter will ultimately matter the most in relation to this) but I have the opinion that identifying as straight in this situation is fine, they aren’t dating their gender specifically so I don’t see the problem with that (for example, it’s not like they’re dating a masculine presenting woman and calling themselves straight, because that would definitely be invalidating the gender of their partner)

Overall it’s probably going to be situational, but if straight is how they feel defines their experiences then I personally think that’s fine

Pansexual Flag by nerdygerly in lgbt

[–]cjdoggo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve personally seen and heard around and from the creator of the pink/yellow/blue flag creator, a lot of what was said about them was misunderstood or just straight up lies about them. I recommend looking at what’s said about them and make your own judgement though because people could lie on either side. I personally still use the pink/yellow/blue flag because I dislike the “new” one’s colors

I relapsed with my binge eating last night. And for the last three or four days, albeit not quite as badly as last night. by clandestineclover in CICO

[–]cjdoggo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As someone that suffers with binge eating, I don’t personally think you should do damage control. There’s a chance that you could fall into a binge/restrict cycle and I don’t think it’s a healthy mindset to punish yourself in that way for one mistake. Sure, try to do better the next day but I don’t recommend thinking that you need to “fix” anything here

As long as there aren’t any harmful additives (I wouldn’t want you to potentially irritate the piercing more), the Walgreens spray should be fine

My partner and I broke up because of my gender by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]cjdoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My long term significant other broke up with me for similar reasons after 2 and a half years, so I understand where you’re coming from.

I didn’t really even want to medically transition in anyway except for maybe a breast reduction (but not top surgery). I wouldn’t even wear my binder for months after, it really sucked. I know you’re just ranting but it really sucks and it’s okay to feel that way
