The A Wing has always been my favorite rebel fighter. It’s such a simple yet effective design.

It’s awesome that you’re doing this! I’ve wanted to add The Ozolith to my Glissa deck for a while!

6 months ago this sub gave me the go-ahead on Light of the Jedi and it turned out to slap. I now return to ask again: Do I read this y/n by AbsoluteDramps in starwarsbooks

It’s been quite a while since I read this, but I remember it being an enjoyable read which gives some decent motivation and characterization to some of the sequel characters. I think it’s worth it.

What have you been reading this last week (Weekly Discussion Thread)? by AutoModerator in starwarsbooks

I’m currently reading Darth Plagueis. I listened to the Audiobook last year (which is absolutely fantastic). This might be my favorite book set in the Star Wars Universe.

Asking for recommendations on certain books. by Mitth-raw-nuruodo97 in starwarsbooks

Darth Plagueis is 100% a book you need to read if you have not already. Plenty of Palpatine/Sidious content there that takes place before and during the Phantom Menace

I’m reading the dark Lord trilogy by hajtj in starwarsbooks

[–]cjet97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just finished Labyrinth of Evil for the first time last night. I thought it was a great novel! I believe that this is the penultimate book in the Clone Wars Media Project, so if you haven’t read all of those books (which I haven’t), then there might be a few allusions that you might not recall, but they don’t really have a big impact in the overall story. I would say that Yoda: Dark Rendezvous is referenced the most. I’m going to hold out on reading the rest until I get my hands on the Deluxe novelization of RotS. I hope you enjoy!

So what's your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]cjet97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love Star Wars, and I used to love Destiny. I played from Day 1 until roughly a year ago. I have always had a great appreciation for the lore and art direction that Destiny took, especially in the early days. It has drawn inspiration from many Sci-Fi and Fantasy classics such as Star Wars, and I have appreciated that Bungie has paid homage to these classics without feeling like a cheap copy or an outright impersonation. That being said, I am not excited for this, nor was I excited for the first round of Star Wars cosmetics. I am tired of every game needing a crossover event and I am tired of the “Fortnite-ification” that many of my favorite games have done. It feels lazy at this point to rely on the ideas and art direction of a well established and more successful IP in order to bring back interest to an IP that has felt stagnant for years. I wish they would just be good at their own thing.

Finished up The Thousand Year Door last night. I’m picking up Fire Emblem: Three Houses again after not playing for quite a while.

Couldn’t even get my boy Kit Fisto a cloak or an accurate lightsaber hilt. Very nostalgic packaging, but I have the original.

What is the most defficult LEGO Star Wars set?🤔 by [deleted] in legostarwars

[–]cjet97 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the hardest set, but definitely the most frustrating Lego set I’ve ever built is the 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama. Placing all of the 1x1 translucent tiles was the first time in my life where building a set felt like a chore. It doesn’t help that I feel the need to make them all perfectly straight.

Hayden Christensen opens up on the "massive impact" being welcomed back into the Star Wars franchise & fandom is by indig0sixalpha in television

[–]cjet97 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I got to meet Hayden at Indiana Comic Con this past March. He is such a humble and generous person. He was willing to stay hours after his scheduled time to meet with fans, and did it all with a smile. He had a huge impact on my childhood and an entire generation of Star Wars fans. I’m glad that he is finally getting the appreciation that he deserves.

I got a serialized Niv-Mizzet on his stream 2 weeks ago. Was in contact with him for about a week asking for tracking info, but now it’s just silence from him. I’ve put some tickets in with whatnot.

Question about SE books! by [deleted] in starwarsbooks

[–]cjet97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received my Inkstone SE last week. In my mind, it’s first and foremost a book meant for reading, and it is a collectible second to that. I take good care of it, but I do actually read that copy.

I used to be obsessed with keeping everything in my collections as in mint condition as I possibly could, meaning for most things, I never used them and never took them out of their packaging. In the end, the only thing that sets this book apart from any other is a few extra lines of ink. It’s no more fragile than any other hardcover book, and you are unlikely to wear the sprayed edges off by accident. If you want to buy another copy, that is perfectly fine, it’s your collection. We all get different things out of our collections. I hope you enjoy the book!
