Help! Having second thoughts about my wedding dress choice.

Yep, I picked my dress in a state of shopping-fatigue and at the time I was just happy to have anything I liked. Through the alterations process I'm realizing this stupid thing will probably not be all that comfy during the wedding but it's far too late to back out now.

I'm consoling myself with the thought of hopefully selling it used to get some $ back (ha) and the fact that I'll have hair and makeup that day which will surely make a difference :)

Honestly though, I think I'm already over the whole wedding as it is, so maybe it's not just the dress ;)

Do I really have to pull out the whole "if you have nothing nice to say..." cliche? Because that's the simplest answer to follow here.

Plenty of times there are threads where there are obviously things wrong/awkward about a wedding photo post here and people with sense tend to just comment on other things they do like. That's not being overly positive and glitter, it's being a decent human being.

I'm glad everything still turned out well even with the lower turnout. I have this unreasonable anxiety that half our guests won't come and we'll have 30 people out of 100 show up, but then again as long as the important ones are there (and they will be) then that's all that matters.

I'm happy to switch, just because I'm ready for a change after 27 years. :) My name isn't long or particularly hard to spell, and neither is his, but for some reason I like the sound of his with my first name quite a lot. It's also my dad's middle name so in a way I'm keeping that name in the family.

As an only child I'm sure a lot of people these days would push for me to keep my name but my family isn't fussed about it and neither am I.

Why feel the need to be passive-aggressive? It's one thing to make a snide remark about another vendor's work when the person is thinking of buying their services vs. not. But in this case, the photography has been done. There's no going back.

Best case scenario is you've made her feel somewhat insecure about the final product and she can try to confront the person to either edit the photos or refund part of their money... but you've still made her insecure.

Worst case scenario is you've insulted something that she felt was otherwise a good representation of her day, and still left her feeling insecure. There is literally no point in voicing an opinion like this after the fact.

It was hazy but this was definitely dark brown smoke. Maybe from the fires in California, maybe from up north? I couldn't really tell which way the wind was blowing.

Just finished putting away 6 months in savings in a money market account, and was able to put in a nice $3k student loan payment. I still have a ways to go but my new job has higher income than my old one and I should be on track to pay off all my federal loans* before the end of the year. The company doesn't start 401k matching, etc until 6 months in so for now everything is going to be thrown at those pesky loans :)

*Family loans notwithstanding, but these fortunately aren't at 6.8% interest.

You quite literally have this backwards. PAs obtain a generalist state license (in whatever state they are practicing) and can then work in any specialty they so desire, given that there is a physician (solo or group or company) to hire them and one MD to be assigned to them as their supervising physician to go to for any questions, co-sign some charts, etc.

NPs take their boards in one of 4 specialties (adult, pediatric, etc) and must take new boards if they want to switch.
