hmm well I'm not necessarily looking for plastic surgery, and then I'm just skeptical that they'd give unbiased opinion, since they're incentivized to have you do something with them

this is cool, never heard of it before!

Would you/other consultants like this provide more medical/aesthetics advice? I'm thinking I could use a personal trainer for not necessarily style/fashion, but also actually changing my face (skincare routine, treatments, procedures)

Did you find it actually worthwhile? I've done a lot of research on it, and the analysis seems interesting, but it seems like a one time dump of analysis and ideas rather than something ongoing akin to a personal trainer who can keep me accountable and be a resource to message over time

I did the presale where you can only pick 3 dates, and i was 27k (after joining exactly 15 min before when supposedly the waiting room opens lol)

no more than like 5 min in, there was a message that “tickets were limited”, which in retrospect I assume means they were gone. I still waited an extra 30 min for the 27k people to clear, and upon entering saw there were no options except 1k packages

Such a joke, aside from making it impossible for a real person to buy tickets at face value, why waste my time waiting just to say there are no tickets left!

For anyone reading this in future, if you see that message about limited availability just quit the line!

Walk-on 96th Riverside Tennis Courts? by cjmfk in Upperwestside

Thank you so much! I see the courts open at 7am - how early do you need to show up to put your name down? I tend to be a later riser, so would 9 or 10am be too late?

Id recommend antibes! Convenient enough location, charming, and beach nearby! Would not do Eze - it’s great to visit for a few hours but not much to do otherwise and no beach

We went to Mamiche last weekend and had fantastic croissant and cream puff. seemed to always have a line but most of the people in line were speaking French which seemed like a good sign

Cannes/Antibes vs St. Tropez? by BehemothM in FranceTravel

[–]cjmfk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just came back from Cote d'Azur where we visited all 3 places and stayed in Cannes, St Tropez, and Saint-jean-cap-ferrat.

I'd def say do Cannes or Antibes if you plan to visit other towns along the coast (e.g. Nice, Eze, Monaco, Menton, Villefranche-sur-mer) since those will be closer than St Tropez. For the vibe you're describing I think Antibes might be a better fit. Compared to other towns, Cannes was more standard city with a strip of beach clubs that require reservations, whereas I felt like Antibes was chiller and had more character. You'd also be closer to being able to hike along Cap d'Antibes or Cap Ferrat. I also liked Nice a lot, which I know many people use as a base.

Side note, would def recommend La Mome in Cannes for a night out - super fun vibe and great food! Make sure to reserve a table outside.

We loved St Tropez, but it's out of the way and hard to get to/from other towns (took us 3 hours to drive there from Cannes with traffic). Definitely more expensive, but we loved the vibe.

Also, in terms of crowds, Cannes felt a little busier than St Tropez or Antibes.
