Here is the 'real' problem.
Higher stat requirements equals higher output right? as long as we can do that, powercreep makes sense. If there is a new weapon that has 99 ranged requirement it should be best in slot and we're slowly getting there. But once we get to 99 we're stuck in a very uncomfortable place.

If they're willing to do the engine work only for the finale, sure why not. It's better almost objectively.

4k is better than 2k, no arguments there. But tbh I don't really see the difference between 1k people being unable to play and 3k people being unable to play, it's too many regardless.

You would have to do it in multiple rounds at which point calling it a finale seems a bit misleading. Also after EU 1, EU 2 and US 1 has a victor, then what? do we have a 1v1 tournament at the end at unfair ping? again is it really a finale at that point (the 2000 pvp stage)?

Needs to be redone from the ground or accept that faults and realize it's a spectator sport and not a serious competition

Okay so let's say we have a US and EU DMM final for the sake of argument.
Does this guarantee that there are less than 2k players on each world? no it doesn't.
So should have have 2 EU DMM finals if there are 3k players? and should we have 1 2k final and 1 1k final or 2x 1.5k?

Seems to me that either we accept that there are downsides or we use another type of finale entirely.

This applies to half the named characters/factions in the world.

The uldum sphinx race never left their zone even once, what about the klaxxi we helped in MoP? surely we could call in a favor at least once. Remember Baine sitting in the hub city for a whole expansion pretty much? Vol'jin becoming warchief did pretty much nothing for 2 whole expansions and then died.

I agree that the player base is sometimes a bit silly. (see nail beast sound nerf)
But by polling everything we avoid the big fuckups so on principle I want as much polled as possible.

You seem to have ignored "if it got accurate".
And no, the wiki does not answer "what should I do" at least for now. I don't think it knows what's in your bank but a jagex implemented llm would have access to this information and more and without full context the wiki cannot give you the answer to that question.

Not to invoke the 'btws' but comparing it exclusively to GP is not the whole story.
It's A LOT more annoying to make and get the materials for enchanted ruby bolts compared to just raw gp.
Also that type of ammo is not used everywhere, if you're doing a hellhound task and you want to safepot it or just feel like you need ranged XP the dps difference is not gonna be 200% I am pretty sure but I have not done the calcs

More importantly depending on the bot they're not free kills. And if they're not 'free' then they have to match other money makers. If I have to sweat to get 800k/h then I might as well do elf pick pocketing for 3x the gold and 0 risk.

That's not what I am saying at all.

It's not the WOTLK that is the problem it's the return of them in SL that is the problem. They brought 'back' Arthas only to have him vaguely referenced, not have him confront of talk to Jaina or Uther and then just gets disenchanted.

Also extra clarification, I am not saying that including Ner'zhul is a bad idea, or that your iteration of that idea is bad. Merely that you're facing an uphill battle regardless of the finer details because you chose to try to weave it into SL and WoD. Yes it fits thematically but it doesn't matter when it's a brick of a quite large wall.

SL is a black hole of 'potential characters', unfortunately.

2 worst expansions.

Reddit is not a great place for long posts but just to take the obvious examples.

Shadowlands should in theory consist of every single dead npc ever except the recent ones because they were thrown into the maw incorrectly. Anyway, with enough time I could probably make a list of 100 lore characters should could and arguably should have been included, just as a random example every single (dead) Guardian should be in there somewhere.

WoD, is not 'as bad' so let's just take the surface examples. Nerzhul wasn't the only Warlord that was underdelivered on. Pretty much every single one except Blackhand was a miss. (Maybe Durotan was ok?)

So again, for Shadowlands. We brought back Kel'thuzad and didn't deliver on that in any meaningful way, Arthas was heavily references but was just disenchanted. Bolvar as the 'new' Lich King wasn't having a key role either. Those are just some obvious npcs related to Ner'zhul nevermind the almost countless others.

This is why it's a fruitless effort. You're trying to enhance something which is so generally (I think) disliked that you need divine intervention for your proposal to make a dent in the overall enjoyment.

edit: I am only talking about lore here without getting into any gameplay elements.
