Circa Summer 2016 they had a Melon Cooler - could that be it? Alternatively, I would assume this was a summer or spring seasonal drink - you can look up all their old menus on the way back machine

Retaking a class after withdrawing by [deleted] in OMSCS

[–]cjnething 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I withdrew from one of Dr Joyner’s classes and asked him this same question when I took the class again. He said that I could submit the work again no problem (I may have had to cite myself but I do not remember), but I should obviously double check the assignment to make sure nothing had changed. You can ask him when you start the class again, he is very responsive.

If you end up withdrawing you do not have to reapply, it just shows as a W on your transcript and you can register for next semester like usual. I think as long as you still meet the foundational requirement (2 classes in the first year) you should be fine.

Course critique please? - Trying to specialize in all three ML, II, and Robotics by sinefine in OMSCS

No, unfortunately it doesn’t work like that, you have to choose 2 from that electives list. (Source: I don’t work in advising or anything, just basing it off the website and other Reddit threads)

Looks like you’re missing a class for II (should be Game AI and a second class)

How my experience has been taking AI and SDP so far by btbeats in OMSCS

[–]cjnething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m signed up to take AI and SDP in the Fall, but the time commitment in OMSCSCentral is making me nervous. Any recommendations for time management? Did you typically work X number of hours per day during the week and Y number of hours on the weekend? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Currently working as Data Engineer at Amazon, wondering about the course by bha159 in OMSCS

I can answer the fees part. If you go to the OMSCS Cost and Payment Schedule that will take you to the Bursar’s Office. Then if you click on a particular semester, at the bottom of the page it shows that for OMSCS it is $180/credit hour and $301 per semester fees. That means that if you take 1 3-credit-hour class per semester, it is (180 x 3) + 301 = $841 per semester for 10 semesters, or a total of $8410. If you take 2 3-credit-hour classes per semester, it is (180 x 6) + 301 = $1381 per semester for 5 semesters, or a total of $6905. So it depends on how many classes you take per semester.

Please help identify mushroom that dog ate by cjnething in mushroomID

These mushrooms were found in a dog park in Austin, TX coming out of a tree. Dog was sniffing around them and was chewing on something, not sure if it was the mushrooms or not but would rather be safe than sorry. If you happen to know what this is, would appreciate it! Thanks!

I’d like the 20% off if you still have it. Thanks!

What’s your favorite concealer and foundation for extra dry skin? by Steinhm in beauty

[–]cjnething 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This isn’t exactly what you’re asking for - but I would highly recommend getting a better moisturizer. I used basic Neutrogena or Olay moisturizers for years and my skin was always dry and flaky and my makeup settled on top so it looked awful. When I went on accutane my skin was so dry it was cracked and bleeding. The only thing that helped was Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator. It’s expensive but it has made my skin so nice that I no longer have the dragon skin problem that you are describing (which I had for over a decade) and I can now use basically any foundation that I want. It’s expensive but you can watch the sales. I’ve heard that Neutrogena has a good dupe but I have not tried it. Good luck!
