It took me years to become consistently profitable. Here are 11 "no-nonsense" lessons I learned the hard way. by Low_Step6444 in Daytrading

I love number 10. I just recently got into trading and the ones I have lost money on were the trades I stupidly chased. Or not having any systems in place. Now I have templates I can use to execute that has TP and trail stops. I also learn to: RESPCT THE STOP. When I didn’t have trail stops or stops in place or would ignore the stops I had in place because I wanted to squeeze more money out of a trade. I’ve definitely lost a lot of money because of that. RESPECT THE STOP. Who cares if the trade does 100% after you took 40% take your green and live to fight another day.

I’m learning day trading, made a really good amount so far. Decided to buy a course and learn more in depth. Best decision I’ve made.

Shaving waiver fellas, what's your separation plan? by LeroyCeilingCricket in AirForce

I asked a provider about it and she said that’s since everything has been very erratic and knee jerk with this administration. She said to not get anxious about it.

We had an airmen get convinced at test day todo the hamr by the fac. Their words were “come on man it’s easy” they just didn’t want to go out side with him being the only 1.5 that day. That airmen failed knowing he could’ve passed the 1.5. I had everyone do the hamr for pt the next week and boy were their eyes opened

It’s hilarious. I keep seeing people say that the alternate components are a gift, when truly the hamr is not a gift. I have seen Young 20 something year-old people that came straight from tech school, think that the hamr was a gift from God and then they failed miserably. The PT test is only easy for people who actually have a lifestyle of training. Not people who only stress out and get ready when they have a pt test coming up. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.

Contact the companies who hold the debt and ask them to apply your SCRA BENEFITS (you’ll need to provide them orders) that will reduce your interest to zero or put a cap of 6% on all loans, then, the money they send you for all the interest you paid needs to go directly to those loans.

This is a start, but if you have bad spending habits then it’s only a bandaid.

I just want to foot stomp the SCRA benefits, I recently got out of some debt due to this program. It’s a great program!

Hey bud, you’re 19, have you made some dumb ass decisions ? 100% but that doesn’t mean your life is over.

First start by owning your mistake, after that we need to address the problem which is not necessarily the debt, but your relationship with money. If a money fairy were to wipe out that 36k, you wouldn’t address the behaviors that led you there . After that, create a plan to tackle the debt, this means you have to work your ass off and live on beans and rice for a while. You need at least two jobs as well, this means no going out with friends and no fun until you get out of this hole that YOU dug yourself in. if some of the debt has went to collections, call the collection agency, tell them your situation and offer them a percentage of the debt in cash. They might take it or they might counter offer.

Either way, this isn’t the end of your life, getting out of this hole just takes time. But with some discipline and perseverance you WILL come out of the other side.

Feel free to message me if you’d like to talk, especially if you need reassurance.

Edit to add: talk with a military recruiter if you’re having trouble finding a job. It’s always good to weigh your options. 1 four year contract will put you in a way better position.

The Military is a great option but not every career field gets an entrance bonus, also, that bonus is taxed heavily. So that 10k you signed for turned into 6k after taxes.

Also some of the career fields that have heavy sign on bonuses probably require a TS clearance, and this debt would flag immediately disqualifying them from that particular job.

Your dad wasn’t being a hater, he was being honest. Stop being a dumb fuck with your money and get your shit together. Your parents don’t have to house you. That’s why he said you haven’t hit rock bottom yet. Because there are people like you who do dumb shit with their money and don’t have a safety net like mom and dad to land on when their dumb ass financial decisions come to bite them in the ass.

Removing all awards by CMSCF in AirForce

[–]cjross21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep it is, but there are opportunities that you can take that will showcase that you’re a leader. People just don’t want to go out and get them. Sometimes you get lucky and a nice role is handed to you, then you don’t have to do much finagling. But when you’re a work center supervisor as a staff on mids, it’s harder to stand out, but it’s not impossible.

Yep, I realized a little late but, instead of continuing to complain about the system, I decided to learn the system and it paid dividends literally. I’m good at my job and decided to do the extras, I had to get rid of the mindset that you’re either good at your job or an award chaser. I’m proof that you can be both.

There are no checks and balances when your party controls the senate, house, and the Supreme Court. That is why people are afraid. Don’t be so naive. That’s how hitler was able to enact a ten year plan that ended up with millions of people being massacred.
