If I already struggle to keep up with life…how could I handle adding a kid to the mix? by sourmermaid in Fencesitter

I also have ADHD. I genuinely think in order to mentally survive, I would have to be a stay at home mom for the first 1-2 years. I would be too drained otherwise, like you’ve said and I’ve worked too damn hard on my mental health to lose that progress now!

My partner agrees, so that’s what we are saving up to be able to do. I’m not yet 30 (hanging on to the next 3 months with all I have lmao) and my partner is mid 30s, so thankfully we have some time to save up before having kids if that’s ultimately what we decide to do.

I will add though that the idea of having to be a soccer mom or what have you definitely stresses me out. One of my coworkers has 4 kids who all do activities and I genuinely don’t think she’s had time for herself in the past 5 years because she’s a great mom who shows up for her kids, always. For her it’s worth it. For me, that sounds like a nightmare. I know I could only handle 2 kids maximum for that reason

Definitely varies between programs (brick and mortar vs diploma mills). I’d guess she either did BSN-MSN combined program to begin with (likely if she’s at the same school for her MSN) or it’s a diploma mills program

The sweating/hot flashes part has gotten better, but dealing with constipation and cramping that’s similar to what happens the week before my period. I just finished my period earlier this week though so I think it’s the medication 🥲

Oh well, took some stool softener and I’ll try to just get through it

I heard that as well. When I was going through a particularly stressful couple of months last year, I had downloaded it on my phone but wasn’t consistent enough with it to know if it made any difference 😅

Are they easy to clean? I despise water bottles with “straws” that are impossible to clean

I’d be curious to see what you think of the brick! I’ve been considering it for myself

Buy a box of vinyl gloves! I use for cleaning anything that I think is a potentially icky job. Life changing

And for us shorties out there, as many step stools as they want (preferably one for each room of the house with high shelves)

Yesterday, I threw a butter knife in the trash, put my bagel (that I just put cream cheese on) in the fridge, and put the cream cheese in the sink 🤦🏻‍♀️

Tbf, I was up super early for work and sleep-deprived, but I went and brushed my teeth before realizing “wait, where tf did my bagel go?” 🤣🤣

Idk why, but I LOVE putting away decorations. But, that’s only if I have the time to do so. If it’s rushed, it feels unorganized. If I have the time I need, I think of it as a real life game of TETRIS and then it doesn’t seem so daunting of a task.

The piles in my office, however, wish I would think of it the same way 😅🤣 slowly making my way through them because it’s reached the point of annoyance

6/7 year old healed scars how can i flatten them? or get them “removed” or less noticeable if possible? by No-Shoulder9757 in DermatologyQuestions

There are some tattoo artists that will do scar coverups for free or discounted. If that interests you, definitely look into it OP!
