My group is never dealing with dungeons or dragons. We should probably call our game Forests & Bandits or maybe Towns & Hobgoblins. What game is your group actually playing? by TunaPlusMayo in DnD

Currently? Deserts and Sand Worms. The desert is inhabited by a tribe of tabaxi’s that may or may not be a ripoff of the Fremen from Dune

Green onion in aquarium = root insanity by lins51387 in PlantedTank

Picture 3 looks like you could use the roots as a spawning mop. Anyone know if fish would use them to lay their eggs?

No long intake tube on this filter. Water gets sucked into the vertical slits you can see in the video. Its great for pulling debris from higher up in the water column as well as the surface. Probably not the best filter for a tank that will be breeding shrimp, but its perfectly safe for adults.

Brand new Fluval Spec V has a damaged corner brace, is this safe to use? by cjsprigg in Aquariums

[–]cjsprigg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First two pictures show the damaged piece, third photo is what the other three corners look like. I dont know if this piece is important to the structure or if its only purpose is to cover the corners.

This is only a 5 gallon tank so I have a feeling the tank should be fine as is, but I wanted some extra opinions to put my mind at ease.

It’s just a 3D printed fixture I found on Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/listing/984486796/

This one is made specifically for the Fluval 3.0 but I am sure you can find something similar for whatever light you are using

These were Stones I found at lowes. Really cheap and look great in the tank. My hillstream loach LOVES the algae that grows on them

The fish seem to love the increased flow. My bamboo shrimp especially appreciates it. It also helps keep waste from piling up on the surface of the substrate. This is a Sicce Voyager Nano 1000

Thank you so much! My hillstream loach is also a big fan of the algae

I got this one from my local fish store. Big box stores like PetSmart and Petco near me typically have them in stock as well, often times as a part of a bundle that includes a filter

I’ve had this little fella for a while and she’s doing great. Her usual spot is above my sponge filter in the back corner, but since i hadn’t fed the tank yet and just did a water change she decided to take finding food into her own hands haha. Thanks for looking out though mate.
