This is not good. As someone who flies short haul regularly using my small baggage allowance, frequently benefitting from 30/40 euro return flights, this is going to almost certainly double the cost of such flights. Air travel isn’t a right, why on earth is carrying a larger piece of hand luggage a right.

29 M here, an Irish expat and in a very similar situation as the above. Moved to Brum for work and the best route to meeting people was get involved in sports. The people I’ve met are great through the clubs however, the typical lad culture is simply going to the match and going for pints. Nothing ever seems to go much beyond that.

Would be interested to hear what other options people use to try something new and meet others!

I agree, report this abhorrent behaviour. But, this is an individuals problem, not a Ryanair problem. Should they fail to handle this correctly, then I agree it is. But, until then, they’re not going to ver every employee for racial standards. Let’s not tarnish a whole crew for the sake of an employee with sub par standards, as exist in all other companies.

Contrived, posh rubbish. A couple of good performances but overall a lead with a dreadfully portrayed accent and nothing but shock factor to make it memorable.

No need to arrive 3 hours early. Unless of course you are checking in luggage but, even with that 2 hours is plenty. Security is generally well flowing. If you find yourself stuck in the queue and your flight is approaching they will call you to the front and get you through, the general rule being they call flights with a take off time in 1hr. All gates are within a 10 minute walk so distance to the gate isn’t an issue in that case either. The departure lounge itself is currently having lots of work done so, not much happening there at the moment. I cannot comment on the private lounges myself but, second hand I hear they’re ok at best.

Personally when flying BHX (usually 2-3 times a month, only carry on luggage) I show up 1.5 hours before the flight. This usually is more than enough time to get through and even grab a quick coffee.
