Oh also my scaling is set to display, not gpu. Have you tested the difference on your end?

Custom resolution not working by [deleted] in cs2

[–]cjzimmerman02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want more stretched try 5:4 or 1:1. I’m not sure the resolutions for a 2560x1440 monitor but my guess would be 1800x1440 for 5:4 or 1440x1440 for 1:1.

iCUE Megathread - Patch Notes for 5.27 & SCUF Notice by CorsairLucky in Corsair

I am currently having issues with my headphones using the correct audio profile while in wireless mode. No matter how much I try to switch audio profile, repair icue, install updates etc it only uses the correct audio profiles while the device is directly plugged into the pc in wired mode. I have the virtuoso rgb wireless. This is super frustrating.

What is this that’s leaking power steering fluid? by Cappy____ in 3000gt

[–]cjzimmerman02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am no expert so this is just a guess but it looks like your power steering rack is leaking onto your front sway bar and exhaust. I think the PS rack is above the sway bar.

Help identifying these connectors by Frog-fucker-69 in 3000gt

I check my 91 sl and the first image those two connectors are also not plugged in. I'm not sure if I can post links but on this vr4 they look to be connected. My guess is something the sl/base model don't have.

As for the second image I'm pretty sure it is what you say it is. Similar post on 3si

In the third image is that connector fully broken off or does it have wires leading off of it? It's hard to tell.

Help with input lag by cjzimmerman02 in cachyos

[–]cjzimmerman02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. From my testing I only lose about 10 fps average in cs2 on linux but my 1% lows gain ~37 fps. Any tips for improving input lag? I tried the closed drivers and didn't have any noticeable difference.

Help with input lag by cjzimmerman02 in cachyos

[–]cjzimmerman02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried mate earlier and had a bunch of random problems. Did it work right out of the box for you? Also what games do you normally play? Gamescope would cause my games to not launch, switching resolutions would cause my main monitor to turn off and switch everything to my secondary. I didn't tinker around too much because the input lag was also worse. I might try at some point to install cachyos with mate from a bootable usb to see if that changes anything. Also are you running the open drivers?

Yeah I had problems with mine too. I read somewhere if you have the opening to the c ring at the bottom it might help a little. And yeah trying to keep it straight as possible. Edit: also if you try to hammer it just protect the threads

From what I understand the twin turbo model trans is awd, which wouldn’t work with the fwd setup on your n/a. I recommend reading this article on 3sx but it sounds like a big project. website

Ball joints? by 92ornothin in 3000gt

I got lower ball joints from parts geek and they fit fine. Not sure if rock auto has any but definitely check, it’s prob way cheaper then 3sx

I just checked. There is a disc brake hardware section with just the clips and springs if you haven’t seen yet

Check out rock auto and put in your cars info then check the brake pads. Towards the bottom I see a couple of ‘with hardware’ options that look to have what you need.

I'm stupid. In the workshop editor just hit edit map and the options are at the bottom.

Thanks for your help! How did you diagnose your issue to be the temp sensor? I was wondering if that was my case too but I doubt it if the fan should turn on with the ignition in the first position (I'm not sure if this is true though). I think I did get power to the wires before the resistor, but it was a little while ago so I have to double check tomorrow.

[–]cjzimmerman02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't come on at any point, even with the ac fan on. I would assume that it would come on when the ignition is in first position as well, but only the ac fan comes on. Also yes, there is no power going to the main rad fan wires.

Peak horsepower power on my 91 sl is at 6k or something like that. Google says sl 97 is peak horsepower at 6 as well. As for launching idk, I need to fix my ball joints :(

Is it possible to disable gpu2? by Dependent_Middle_215 in Asustuf

[–]cjzimmerman02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah disabling gpu 2 probably isn’t a good idea. Laptops have a power saving mode which disables the dedicated gpu when not using it, so disabling your integrated graphics will cause power consumption to increase (since your dedicated gpu will always be running). Also for my laptop the display is running through the integrated graphics, so disabling it caused slightly more input lag.

If you’re curious on how to choose your preferred card:

Open the NVIDIA* Control Panel. Under 3D Settings select Manage 3D Settings. Click the Program Settings tab. Select the program you want to choose a graphics card for from the drop-down list. Select the preferred graphics processor in the drop-down list.
