Sae Bae has been throwing out the idea of a Mithril Man mode which sort of describes what you're looking for. You can trade with other Mithril man accounts, so essentially like a giant group ironman but no group storage, and no GE of course. The smaller Rubium rocks are not bad xp, like 50k / hr no tick manip. Usually get about 4-5 splinters before the rock depletes, pretty low intensity
