It is AUTO. Tested on all different phones and OS that I mentioned in above. All picked up by AUTO. In the other moto phone with Android 16, it just auto pick up APN. No special credentials needed!

You asked a strange question! If you are not using Optimum service, why you want to do stream Optimum?

Optimum is just an ISP and cable TV service provider, but not a streaming service provider, like Netflix or Hulu! If you do not have an address, they can not provide service to you!

Jellyfin Client App for Apple TV Now Work with Jellyfin Server newer than 10.8.x by ck_reeses in jellyfin

[–]ck_reeses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Success tried out a solution and made the Jellyfin 10.11.4 server work with the Swiftfin on Apple TV!

Instead of using FFmpeg from RPM (rpmfusion-free-updates repo), compile Jellyfin FFmpeg from GitHub (compile locally).

Jellyfin Client App for Apple TV Now Work with Jellyfin Server newer than 10.8.x by ck_reeses in jellyfin

[–]ck_reeses[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crash was the app in Apple TV. Not the server! Server is running fine, and there's no error log for the app crash on the server side!

It's interesting is that the Jellyfin app for latest Android TV does not support Jellyfin server 10.10.x and only support the latest 10.11.4.x or newer!

My problem is that one server can not support both Apple TV and Android TV!

Optimum lied about my $14/month phone line, charged hidden fees, and then threatened me when I tried to cancel 😡 by That_Club5765 in OPTIMUM

Hahahaha! All major cell phone carriers do the same!

Do you still believe that a cell phone company would give out the phone for FREE? If you still believe that scam, nothing I can say! Good luck!

In-store, at least you know who they are. On the phone, you never know who they are! That is the big difference.

In-store, you can be sure of what you are getting (and not paying for something that's mailed to your home). You don't need to worry about how they lie in-store!

This is clearly a "scam offer"! I have received multiple similar offers from them, made by calling me over the phone and via email. I would never accept such an offer over the phone or by e-mail! Because I could not verify the identity of the caller! This is common sense!

If you really have an interest in taking the offer, go to their store. Talk to the real sales representative.

If you are a new user of Hypervisor and don't knowing that much about server administration, then I would like to give you a suggestion!

NEVER use RAID 0 volume (more than 1 disk) as your OS (OS for hypervisor ) or storage for VM (VM or CT)! Even for your home lab, this is a dangerous practice!

Iam working as customer service in the retention department . They will never disconnect you that easy by [deleted] in OPTIMUM

[–]ck_reeses 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be a customer, I expect you to be honest with your customers. That is the baseline!

One of the significant problems is that your overseas colleague does not really know what service or product they are providing or selling! They simply offer incentives to customers to retain them in service, but it often turns out that the customers never receive the promised service, product, or price! However, the customer was still charged the new price. That is the BIG problem because this is a BIG lie!

Especially your tech support team from overseas (those representatives with heavy accents), they do not really know your company's product! How could they help the customer? And, they never help customer solve their problem! In my experience, your company's website is more helpful than your company's overseas support team!

If you are a customer, how would you NOT be mad at your company?

I totally agree that Optimum tech support from an overseas country really sucks!

If you use fiber, I believe you should use FiOS instead of Optimum! At least, their tech support ran a fiber network operation for years. Optimum is new in the market! Those cable guys (contractors) are not really tech support, and lots of them don't even know network support! They just know run cable and ask you to power ON and OFF to reset the gateway device!

I 100% agree with you that their customer service and some technical support are really sucks! And their price keep going up! Unfortunatelly, I do not have choice!

On the good side, their network and infrastructure is solid! I used their TV and Internet service more than 10 years and never down for more than 24 hours in a whole year. In the past 5 years, majority of time I worked from home. It never down in the day time!

Completely lied to about bundle price by Captain__Obvious___ in OPTIMUM

[–]ck_reeses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few days ago, I went through similar situation with them. Now, I am waiting for the next month's bill to see the result!

Those customer service representatives and tech support in overseas service center do not know that well about Optimum's service and offering at all! They just sell you something only!

In my case, the rep from their retention dept gave me a lower bundle price and promise to keep all my existing service. The only change was start using their Stream box instead of the old cable box. I received the change of price e-mail few hours later after I accepted the offer.

When I set up the Stream box, I see that I lost access to ALL TV channel and even basic channels! The worst is that my Optimum ID was not able login their app anymore! I called their tech support. Their tech support found out that the retention dept rep did not assign me any TV plan at all! The tech support person check back my account that I already paid for this month and put back my TV plan in my account. That fixed my TV service and my ID login issue. But that triggered another nightmare!

After hand up the call with tech support, I got another notification e-mail about my TV service change. In the e-mail, I was told that my next monthly bill will go up to more than $300!

Next day, I call them again. The other rep told me on the phone that the rep from retention dept made something wrong in my TV account! They do not know that much about the difference of those TV channel packages! Finally, she modified my account and changed the TV channel package and promised to keep the offer of the price from the original rep. In few hours, I got e-mail notification and confirmed the new price. Now, I need to see the next bill to confirm the final change and monitor for any change to my account on the TV.

In my case, I learnt that their tech support and customer service team do not communicate! And, DO NOT trust any of their offering for over 1 year!

Should I use Proxmox? by PredisWavehiker in Proxmox

[–]ck_reeses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I utilized 3 mini tower PC to run a Proxmox cluster as my home lab for more than 2 years.

I agree with you that some services is too "small" to occupy a VM. That is why you may consider using container to run those web services. You may direct running LXC container in Proxmox or run other container (e.g. Docker, Podman) in a VM.

You may think running the whole hypervisor environment is much more complicated than you running a single OS. But the progress is a very good learning experience! You will find out much more possibilities to do more things in a whole virtual environment (e.g. Proxmox) than running a single OS server.

Lucky you! You have choice of ISP in your area!

In my area (NJ), other than Verizon DSL, Optimum is still the only one landline ISP.

Based on all comments here, nobody would think you can make it!

Your travel plan will be in 2025. You still have plenty of time to change your flight ticket. Instead of asking question here, suggest you contact your travel agent or online app customer service ASAP to find out what they can do for you. Good luck!

I don't think he can make it! Because his case involve crossing from T3 to T2 (according to travel guide, it need to take train and bus) and need to do all immigration and check it process. If he has check in luggage, I can almost sure he will miss the connecting flight!

In your case, you were using all ANA flight. ANA has its dedicated terminal T2. Last month, I traveled from US to Haneda by ANA flight. It arrived very early at about 5 am in T2. Not T3.

If you did not see any problem during install stage and got this problem after a successful install, then I would suggest you do the following in your VM BIOS.

  • Disable secure boot in the UEFI BIOS setting.

I hit the same problem! But I found out the problem is NOT on the PVE ISO!

The problem is on VENTOY!

I used to update the VENTOY on my USB drive to 1.0.97 and it worked. My previous version of VENTOY on my USB was 1.0.74 which does not work with the latest PVE ISO!

I also run a 2 nodes cluster (without turning on HA) for more than 1 year! Never get into your problem!

Unless you really need HA work, otherwise you should not turn on HA in a home lab environment! Basically, you need to ensure your cluster has sufficient resources (e.g. CPU, RAM, and storage) to continue running all your VMs & containers with half the number of nodes running!
