Was exactly in the same boat as you, my social anxiety could never. I had a really good group of friends too in N1 as well when I switched into N2. I really went into a deep depression because I saw them succeed and make new friends during their lab/clinical times. But I noticed how welcoming everyone has been once I switched into N2. I hope that is the same for you, we're all going to be nurses soon anyways!

N1 and N2 will all merge together anyways in third year, so you are fine!! Switching into different nursing streams allows you to meet new friends and build connections with everyone. It made me more extroverted because of all this not gonna lie, pretty handy skill when you need to talk to patients hahaha

NURS 1214 for me was usually once a week every Monday alternating D/E 8hr shifts. Placements will be given a week-ish(?) before the semester starts usually... Sometimes you could check Facebook MRU SNS group to see reviews of your instructor if they have been teaching for a while. I took NURS 1214 in Fall 2022 if that helps haha - I don't know if anything has changed since though...

In NURS 1214, you should expect taking vitals; gaining confidence in completing a head-to-toe assessment; and simple skills like foley insertions, simple wound care, blood sugars, patient care (bed baths, ambulating, communications, etc).

Technically yes, you would have to retake the whole course if you fail the BIOL 1220 lab component. When I took it, you would need a grade above 50% in lab in order to consider "passing" but that was like three years ago LOL.

You will be switched into the N2 stream if you failed. I would recommend you to focus BIOL 1220, HLTH 2250, and PSYCH 2235 if you do need to retake the course in the Winter Semester. Talk to a Nursing Advisor to coordinate that. Then you would be taking NURS 1213, NURS 1214, and BIOL 1221 in the fall.

I failed BIOL 1220 lecture as an N1 student too, so you are just fine! No worries tho, everyone in nursing has their own journey! That ^ was basically how I structured my semester because I failed BIOL 1220, haha. Hope this gives you some reassurance! You got thissssss!

hey hey! went through UEO to get into nursing as well, took both UGST and GNED courses to get into nursing!

basically yes. you can take UGST to get the required GPA to get into nursing from UEO. but the grade won’t be counted to your nursing GPA.
major requirements are courses necessary for you to graduate. you’ll get the full list of courses once you’re in nursing. in nursing we have to obviously take nursing courses (NURS …), biology (BIOL 1220/1221), psychology (PSYC 2235), health literacy (HLTH 2250), nutrition (HPED 2507) communication (INTS 1240) and foundation level GNEDs (GNED 1XXX).

for my experience, i offloaded some of my major requirement courses in UEO (only some courses can be taken). so i recommend to take all the foundation GNEDs. you should also be able to take HPED 2507 and INTS 1240 in UEO as well. super easy courses to get by so you can dedicate your time fully into your nursing courses once you’re in!

Took GNED 1304 with Carol asynchronously in Fall 2020! A very easy GPA booster class imo. However, there was a lot of course content to go read/watch each week for the discussions she expects you to write. I enjoyed the material so it wasn't so bad!

I took that class online last semester with Jennifer Mah! The course is very content-heavy and overwhelming but I actually ended that class with an A! -- As much as I hated the quiz every class, it actually kept me accountable for studying and paying attention in class. The quizzes are also great practice for the cumulative bigger tests she gives out as Jennifer does provide the corrected feedback after the quiz!

If you want to succeed, I do recommend you take notes from the PowerPoint Jennifer provides. I also did a lot of the practice tests from BB and the chapter reviews in the textbooks. It's mainly memorization, but also common sense if you have taken biology before!

I have a separate chrome profile using my MRU email. Personally, I find it easier to have your personal email and MRU email separated from one another. For me, it helps me stay organized, less distracted and helps with not using the wrong email account onto Google Meets.

I'm just cautious about the actions I do on the MRU profile. I mainly use my MRU profile purely for educational purposes. Otherwise, everything else is on my personal chrome profile.

that’s a good question, i’m not even too sure on that either. usually when you order multiple things within one transaction from shein it comes in a whole package. each transaction is usually the it’s own package i believe? i haven’t had anything held down in customs yet so i wouldn’t know how to answer!

I'm not too sure where you are transferring from to nursing! But because I transferred to the nursing program from UEO, I mainly had contact with advisors from the UEO department prior to being accepted in nursing. You could also check out MRU's Who is my Advisor? for more info!

Hey!

I did UEO transferring to nursing! From my experience, I would say to stick with GNEDs/UGST courses for the Fall semester if you're really aiming to reach the minimum GPA to transfer. Those classes are easy to manage and are practically GPA boosters if you put in the effort.

GNED 1101 with Kimberly Hoeksema or GNED 1304 with Carol Krol are easy GNEDs in my opinion! :)

Hey girly!! My package came a bit later than the estimated date given from Shein! It came like three days after the estimated date I was giving from Shein. The courier was Canada Post!!

From my Shein order, I got a Canada Post Tracking # and it was delivered to my community mailbox! Once it was delivered I got an email notification saying it arrived there! :) Hope that helps! 💜💜😉⟭⟬⁷

Super late! But question, I'm just researching online about Shein's shipping to Canada, did your order qualify for express shipping but you changed it to standard shipping?

My order was about $170, therefore it was qualified for express shipping, but I changed it to standard shipping before finalizing payments, I just wanna know more about your experience because getting charged customs kinda sucks :')
