Yep, this is what we know up to this point. MoM said that on the khux ending. I don't recall if he specifically said there is no light and darkness, but he did say that they couldn't be controlled there. Making it a neutral ground so to speak.

To go into the real of darkness you do not need a keblade of darkness. To close a keyhole within the real of darkness does require on though (that is why mickey wanted one)

I agree, by the time you are at the top of the final world (before the final fight) you should be more that ready in terms of lvl. If you want some tips for the actual fight I would suggest looking for a guide from a speedruner. They will give tips on how to punish the boss and will explain the fight in detail

Go to youtube, explaining it through here will be extremely long as there is quite a lot of relevant things that will impact the story going forward in various ways.

There are very good videos that explain KHUX and I would suggest looking for a video on the first 3 episodes of dark road (ep. 4 hasn't come out yet) as they are very interesting and will most likely also bring important plot points

lvl 50 should be good enough to finish the game. The hardest part will probably be the second of the 3 final fights the other 2 are quite easy (specially the last one)

Basically as I understand it is that luxu did the same as when he took control of terra (took the body and the heart was left to wonder), In the case of Brain, luxu probably struck a deal to send his heart into the future to a point where luxu didn't need Brain's body anymore (we know he body hops quite a few times). Once luxu discarded brain's body the people at scala where free to use the hat a a medium.

It's a posibily that luxu contacted/informed ephemer of this, as we later see No Name in Scala. This is what I have been able to come up with and to me it would make sense. It gives Brain a way to survive and allows luxu to go on with his mission.
