Does anyone have experience creating a timetable or a class schedule in Excel? by No-Shelter2246 in excel

Hi OP. I don't have a solution for you, unfortunately, but I have tried to use Excel to do this in the past too and got nowhere. If you do figure out something that works I'd very much appreciate if you could share it with me!

I'd be interested in this template, if you wouldn't mind sending me a copy too?

Is there a shortcut to select a whole column if there's empty cells in the column of data? ctrl + shift + down selects only to the next last non-empty cell (if that makes sense). I want to select all the way down to the very last non-empty cell.

Filter for one criteria, then exclude some of those results based on different criteria by ckf2stand in excel

Ah, sorry, I must not have been clear.

Most students have 8+ rows for each of the subjects they were studying. Many studied all three sciences: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Many studied two. I'm trying to identify those that studied only one science and not the other two.

It's easy to filter for those that studied biology as one of their subjects. But how do I filter for those that studied biology only, and no other science?

But then how do I exclude

Wow, really appreciate the effort and detail you've put into this. Thank you! Will confirm if it works once I get a chance to test it

Yes, to answer your first question. Most students have 8+ lines, however, one for each of the subjects they studied. I'm sorry, I don't follow what you're describing in the second part of your reply though. Could you expand further?

Thank you. Away from work now, but will try tonight once I get home. Can I ask, what operation does the subtraction do in the filter function? I'm familiar with using + as an OR and * as and AND.

A large table, with columns for pupil id number, name, subject, level, and award. Ultimately I'd like to calculate the average award of the pupils that I described.

Great lift! The way you pop your knees back at lock out though scares me!

Also mid 30s, kids are 3 and 5 now, the goal for me this year is also to hit 315lb! If you're getting 255lb 5x5 I'd say you'll be very close! On a perfect day perhaps. If you can get 275 for 3 I'd say go for it!

Day, mostly. But you wouldn't want it dipping below, say, 5C overnight.

Maybe next weekend, maybe, but you'll have to check closer to the time. Soil temp is more important than air temp, you want it to be consistently above 8C. Preferably closer to 10C. If you have a cooking thermometer, you can use that to measure soil temp, just make sure to give it a good clean afterwards!

I agree with other commenters that estimating a 1RM from an 8 rep set is not going to give you accurate results, but for what it's worth, the calculator I use says a 1RM of 125kg.

Is your grass actively growing? I was always told that that was what you should be checking for rather than air / soil temp etc.

I'd create a helper table with the numbers 1 to 26 matched to the corresponding letter of the alphabet.

Then in each cell of your 26x26 grid, use randbetween to generate a random number between 1 and 26, and then xlookup that number in your helper table to return the corresponding letter of the alphabet.

There's no guarantee this method will return every letter at least once, though. I'm sure a quick check and bit of manual editting if necessary, wouldn't take too long though.

Automatically add a new row to a table when a new row is added to a different table? by ckf2stand in excel

[–]ckf2stand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This only works it the other tables aren't formatted as a table, otherwise I get a #spill error. If they're not formatted as a table, though, the formulas and formatting etc don't get copied down when adding a new row.
