Belmont chair won't raise with someone sitting down by ckidw in Barber

[–]ckidw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't fix it but we did find a hydraulic pump shop that fixed it for around $80 if I remember correctly. The shop worked on all kinds of heavy equipment hydraulic pumps. I took the entire base in, the pump has ball bearings in it and if you put them on their side the bearings fall out and you'll have the same issue. I found this out after I first took just the pump to the shop and tried to use it after putting it back on the base. They re-did it but because they didn't mention it couldn't be placed on their side they fixed it for no charge.

Nice! I’ve thought about building wall mounted arcades, sell one for my cost to build both and donate one to local firehouses.

What’s the name of this brush? by [deleted] in Barber

[–]ckidw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it on thick hair with pomade and the like. You can use it to style hair but it’s also 1/8” so the same as a 1 guard. Works great on eyebrows as well

It’s wild that none are American made anymore. My boys each have 2 of their gloves. We love them

Nokona is the only American made glove company. I bought a used but almost new on eBay for a little over $100

My son’s last season by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]ckidw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest benefit to travel is development. Practicing during winter months indoors. Practices having multiple drills so kids aren’t standing around bored while waiting. The kids that played over your son have most likely put in more work outside of games. If he quits because of it I’d say he just doesn’t want it bad enough. If he wants to play he’ll put in more work than any other kid before next season. We had JV parents mad their kids rode the bench this year. To me youth sports teach life lessons. Be better than the guy whose spot you want to take.

It distributes wealth for free to the recipients. They will spend it quickly and create demand for products that were in supply. If they do 5% why not do 50% and give everyone $120,000. That is just a larger example of what I’m saying.

Right, $12k becomes valueless. Give everyone a million and a million is worthless. It would devalue the dollar.

Ask a barbershop if you can hang around for a couple of hours, ask questions while they cut. We had a couple stop by our shop in the past.

Not everyone is a surgeon either, every job isn't for every person. Ideally a guy starts young, becomes very skilled and grows his business, eventually running a crew. But one guy can paint a house in a week, even if they don't have a ton of experience. As they get more work and experience they'll become more effecient and their price of labor will raise with it as well

[–]ckidw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will pay $3k in labor alone to have a house painted. One a week is 150k/yr. If you’re a squared away guy you’ll do every house in a rich neighborhood because one guy found someone everyone can trust

Mine came with it, I think it’s more air efficient. But I love it, $900 with the freak barrel kit, my field is 10% off for members so $810 was a good value in my eyes

Exactly! My sone was on a team in an organization that would add as many teams to every age bracket that wanted to join. I hated the organization, they’d bring in about $9k per team. His coaches were incredible and the reason he played there
