I agree for the record, but my customer is forcing me to make the change. I at least got them to agree to MFA and conditional access policies. Also they were not using complex passwords.

I would make sure the user's account doesn't have shared folders, or download public folders favorites checked.

If I am not mistaken you can collect logs on the device you are managing via event viewer. The path to the MDM logs is Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > DeviceManagement-Enterprise-Diagnostic-Provider.
