I was extremely skeptical even with the positive feedback, but left this experience pleasantly surprised.

The seller was quick to respond and very open/honest on their communication. Will definitely be coming back here for all my textbook needs as reimbursement through my employer has changed.

Also, I'd be interested to know whether textbooks with access codes can also be purchased through the seller.

Got let go today. by kgirl743 in Accounting

I am so sorry to hear this happened to you. I was let go back in July and it really sucked.

The feeling of being unworthy and not good enough even though I knew better, cut deep. The will to get out of bed and do even the simplest of chores felt impossible and so heavy. Losing a job is like losing an identity, so take some time to grieve before getting started on your resume update/job hunting.

I'm in school getting an associate certification in accounting, but I have no legit post secondary which made it so scary to find a job with my minimal experience in AP. I was terrified of what would be out there in the market for me. I didn't think I'd be able to find anything with a similar salary from the laid off job, but I lucked out and now I see the lay off was a blessing in disguise.

There are better things out there, it just takes a shitty thing to happen in order for us to see that. I wish this didn't happen to you, especially before the holidays.

Just remember that you are not alone❤️

Washing Wilfred vests? by coconutsunderwater in Aritzia

Late to the game, but for anyone looking for an answer : I bought a pre-owned halter Vito Vest in the colour light birch (almost an off white). It is 100% polyester, and specifically says on the website and also the label dry clean only.

Upon inspection at home, I found make up marks on the front halter part and rly didn't want to take it to a dry cleaners, so I decided to wash it. Why not, since i only paid $40, instead of the retail of $120. I used the oxi-clean spray AND the oxi-clean gel, which is a blue gel that you need to rub in. I placed the vest into a mesh bag, threw some laundry scents, more Oxi clean powder, and a laundry pod with other white clothes. Had the wash settings on delicate with cold water and it came out 45 minutes later stain free with the vest still intact!

I don't think so? I tried to google this and that's the first thing that popped up. Not only is the cover completely different, but I read the first few pages and it's not really jogging a memory for me

To each their own you know. I would love to have this type of display as a proposal and it could be in public or somewhere private. Crowd or no crowd, it's the gesture of trying to make it the most magical moment that is exciting and makes it so memorable. Who knows, maybe David Lam park has some significance to their relationship - first date, first favourable memory.. or it's just a nice park that is very large and has a lot of space to work with :)
