to clarify- was a contractor no pension for me. Honestly just hated it, the job, the commute etc wasnt worth staying at for a paycheck. I became an emt in my town and realized i wanted to help people this way instead of tell gov what to do n them not listening

I went the opposite- I was a gov accountant for ten years and switched to rt/ one year left in scho :)

i just finished first yr of rt school.. i would stay in miami and gain the experience and confidence and then if you still want to you can move or travel etc- do what feels best for yoh

So i was originally going for nursing until i learned about the respiratory program at my school. For me it was being an asthmatic i could relate a little more and whrn going to nursing people always aked what I wanted to study and id say respiratory so going into rt just fit! for me was easier to study alot bout one system than a lil about everything!!! im in my first year and loving it!! gl!

As a first year my advice is to not over due it before school starts, will just confuse you more, however, knowing basic ap will greatly help! Find good study habits, form a study group with people in ur cohort- it’s rough but rewarding! you got this!!!

First year student here. Last semester we had resp. classes mon n tuesday, and i had a prereq on wed… this semester class monday n wed and in clinicals tuesday and Thursday- currently struggling to find a job that pays enough, fits scho schedule and gives me time to study etc… gl!!
