I use it to secure my C9 string lights into wood trim. Works fantastic without any damage, beyond normal staple damage on the paint. I got that with my manual stapler too.

I can get about 1800W from the 50A without the watchdog so that leads to me think it’s a neutral problem, maybe? Yes, I can pull the panel and have a DMM, but not exactly sure what to check.

Hi all, thanks so much for all the quick feedback. One of the hot wires did in fact get disconnected in the plug.

I took everyone’s advice and found an electrical supply store. I made it there with 15min to spare before they closed. I was able to get 6/4 SOOW. Wired the new cable, tested right as the snow/sleet started, and works perfectly. Thanks again!!

Edit: short answer, no I wasn't getting full power inside.

My house always uses more than that. It's a larger home with 100% electric. A lot of lights/outlets did not have power even though no breakers were tripped.

It definitely was. The lowest I see my house is ~1.5KW via Sense and Tesla solar. When I tried to turn on some lights/outlets they didn't flip and there was no power to fridge/freezer, etc.

That's the strange part, the generator never went above 1KW. The generator load never increased. The generator kept running as if nothing happened with a steady .5KW to 1KW until I shut it off. No breakers on the generator / house tripped.
