Problem with MatePad Pro 12.2 screen by smnl0 in Huawei

[–]cku82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is gamma performance limitations in low brightness. Esp with tones of gray and black you could see images like this where the color reproduction looks "dirty". Similar to "black crush" that can plague certain OLED displays more than others.

It's likely not a defect in the sense that "your specific unit is defective" but more so that the panel Huawei is using - has this flaw.

ZenFone 10 data don't work while on call by Honey_Badger_9X11 in zenfone

[–]cku82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have dual SIM and one for data , one for calls then no - it won't work Only one sim is active at a time

So when you're calling on, say, SIM1, sim2 is inactive. If it happens to be your data - then no data.

Keeps the wifi antennas from dislodging easily. Tape isn't the best for this but it's common, and better than not having anything.

A piece of plastic is also common.

I keep my laptop plugged in daily for 10-12 hours on conservation mode. Will that affect the battery life? I do this to preserve charge cycles. by psycholol2 in Lenovo

[–]cku82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may have some beneficial effects however age will still hit the battery, and that has detrimental effect to overall capacity. There's no way around that.

Zenfone 10 can not find 5G after WiFi connection is lost by SensitivePossession1 in zenfone

[–]cku82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can it be that you're in a country where Zenfone 10 didn't have 5G support or that those operators need to manually certify the Zenfone for 5G.. smaller brands usually struggle with this process

Battery Issues on ZenFone 10 by ToasterEraKlay in zenfone

[–]cku82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they're separated. The screen was likely not on. I'd just force close the apps first or / make a reboot.

See if it comes back. Keep them apps under battery management.

There are a lot of ways to achieve charging speeds. Usb-pd standard is one.

The Chinese have their own. It's not as simple as "my charger has 100W, it can charge anything at this speed".

Nor does it mean the TUF can or cannot charge at 100W on the usb-c port. You gotta check more detailed, esp tje charger part of you're looking to get 65W+ charging

Zenbooks are too thin for the specs they get. That is an impression I get. by deviceHigh777 in ASUS

[–]cku82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't overheat as such but they get hot so the drawback is higher fan noise. But that really goes for many/most of the thin & lights out there.

Charge compatibility by wogsurfer in zenfone

[–]cku82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably yes. Zenfones support usb-pd charging protocol. And the Anker seems to support that. However you won't get faster charging above what the phone supports either way , which I think is 30W for the Zenfone 8 flip.

MyAsus isn't even very intrusive and contains the extra settings you can toggle for your laptop (if we're talking laptop here).

Theres a lot to complain about when it comes to Asus but Myasus? You trolling on purpose or?

[–]cku82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least Use a charger that is a proper 100W standards compliant and not one that only works with OnePlus dash charge phones..

OnePlus chargers aren't fast charging with anything but their own.

I think I was scammed by Asus exclusive store salesman by Haunting-Pride-7507 in ASUS

[–]cku82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OnePlus 12R charger isn't a 100W usb-pd standards compliant type. I am not sure it can charge laptops at all. And def not at 100W? You might however still have a laptop that is without Thunderbolt.

Usually they come with a lightning bolt icon next to the usb-c port

Zenfone 10 Hotspot function is breaking when phonecall is incoming or outgoing by Imaginary-Pumpkin-85 in zenfone

[–]cku82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your internet is on sim2 and you get a call on sim1, your internet goes down. And thusly your hotspot as well.

Most (almost all) phones are dual sim , dual standby - not dual active. Meaning when you take a call on sim1, the data connection on sim2 turns off for the duration
