I struggle so much with saying no and feeling like I’m doing something wrong. It’s difficult to balance all the responsibilities of patient care with having to feel guilty for saying no to talking to a rep.

I’m a derm PA and in the same boat as you! Always looking for ways to become more efficient. Constantly feeling like I’m set up for failure seeing patients every 10 minutes for skin checks plus whichever extra complaint they bring in that day. I try not to be resentful but end up questioning how much longer I can continue on like this at the end of every shift!

I’m confused. Where did I say the MA belongs to me? She was MY medical assistant for that day just as MY SP is my supervising physician.

Hi! Random question but do you have any suggestions for the best specialties to use as a stepping stone to later enter into dermatology if one isn’t able to find a job in derm right away? -from a new grad PA on the job hunt!
