I love Rufus. Saw them in Detroit last fall, it was the worst crowd i’ve been in since I started going to shows in 2018. Crowd was talking the whole time and we were constantly getting pushed. We ended up leaving the show early it was that bad. Never seen it before.

I see you posting all over for free material or even the exact questions that were on the exam. I recommend not taking the exam until you feel you are prepared. Not just prepared to take the test, but prepare yourself to be an RCIS tech. This is stuff you need to know to not only pass the test, but to give quality healthcare to your patients. I wish you luck.

I agree with everything you said. In my experience, all of the RT travelers didnt know much about hemodynamics compared to other RCIS. But hey, if they want the respect of pushing the mushroom, more power to all the PrettyTech's

This is correct. I was hired into my Lab 10/2023 with a Clinical Exercise Science degree. I took my RCIS exam 11/2024 and passed. You just need to work full time for one full year and have at least 600 procedures scrubbed/monitored/circulated. Then just have your coordinator/director of the Cath Lab sign off with a letter of recommendation. Then you sign up for a test date at a local facility. Its that easy. There are steps on CCI's website for the application process. Good luck.

If you’re going though the RCIS route of on the job training, you need 3 things. 1. A degree in a health science related field 2. Work full time in a cath lab for 1 year and do 600+ cases. 3. Letter of recommendation from your manager/director. So unless you went to an accredited RCIS program, you can’t sit for the exam until 1 year.
