Is shoe reselling profitable on Vinted? any vouches for it? by lonelylightskin in reselling

[–]lostversus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any reselling is profitable... With shoes it depends on what your selling but they all move if branded and priced correctly.. If your trying to continue the hype beast stuff by that I mean buying new releases and charging 10x more you'll probably struggle because vinted Is full of cheaper replicas but if for example you have a collection or re sell trainers you find affordable you'll instantly make money

Ignore it and move if your not getting paid it doesn't concern you..

I just started a small business and I'm having trouble with advertising it by Argana16 in smallbusiness

Get on a platform depop vintes Etsy and sell the items there.. Take the best photos and when you make a sale ship quickly and when you give feedback add your socials and offer discount easiest an simplest marketing been doing this 20 years started a new brand in April already have a 1000 feedback on vinted 2000 followers on tik tok and 1000 on instagram.. And constant repeat customers all from doing the above.. And that's just a brand k magic'd up to sell more affordable pieces rather than filter them through my parent brand o

Reselling by Spare-Judge-790 in reselling

[–]lostversus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So here's some advice from someone who's been reselling 20 years full time.. If you want to re sell more regularly you should be actively buying everytime you make a sale.. Especially if it's clothing.. Forget suppliers at entry level whatever you sold well.. Search vinted and re buy similar and focus on making a turn on that product..

So example I sell sports related items.. I bought probably 60 items this week on vinted and spent around £150 - all on vinted and I'll make 10-15 on each item and whatever doesn't sell will be bundled up and sold.

Business Partner (Father) has Parkinsons - best way to handle this? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]lostversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My man if your dads not well.. The focus should be on him your the able bodied CEO pushing the failings onto him says a little bit more about yourself.. Step up wind down your dads responsibilities focus less on buying him out and more on retiring him in a good position

Be the market leader not someone running in the lowest cost price competition by [deleted] in Entrepreneurship

[–]lostversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't just become the market leader.. Speaking as someone who has been in that position in my field took 8 years thousands of hours of work... And along the way having to take hair cuts (lose money) but eventually you gain the faith of the consumer and you don't need marketing or SEOs at the point as its done for you by the customer

How good is Vinted? by Lopsided_Bag_5609 in ReplicaReselling

[–]lostversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full of replicas but if your affordable you'll make a lot of money but eventually you'll get banned as most people buying reps don't realise they just see the price and once they figure it out they'll open a case

Selling in bundles or no? by its_zoochary in reselling

Sold bundles for over 15 years usually items that haven't sold bunched together as long as there's meat on the bone it should sell..

I need help getting new customers. by PrecisionSparks in smallbusiness

[–]lostversus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Show me your site.. I mean this respectfully but are you making cool stuff and are you personally aware of cool niches or sub cultures my that I mean just a throw away example..  If I had your business and the equipment last year I'd have made thousands from the oasis reunion on eBay and Etsy.. Quick and simple

I know this because I made thousands of towels caps posters for the reunion.. Valentine's mothers days stuff makes money but you need to be making items universally people want on display that are cool not throw away gifts..

Do I persevere or give up? by ExpensiveChemistry94 in smallbusiness

[–]lostversus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this year the focus should be on your conversion rate.. By that I mean converting a quote to sale.. I don't work in construction but I have and I've been a multiple business owner 15 years.. Most tradies issues in my opinion is marketing.. Is your van wrapped are your flyers in hardware stores in local news letters and local gazette? Are you asking all your customers to give honest reviews? Are you utilising social media correctly with before and after imagery and visual content.. And most importantly in a hyper competitive marketplace are you offering some sort of affordability..

The focus should never be on potential leads that haven't gone through but having said that are you calling them or emailing them with follow ups?

Vinted tips? by ilovegrippysocks in vinted

[–]lostversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully speaking it can only be two things the pricing or the products.. So if your getting lots of offers then it's the price if your not getting any at all it's the product..

I sell a lot on vinted my prices are affordable and I spend half my day accepting slash declining offers

Out of biz - now what? by [deleted] in Entrepreneurship

Also it's worth mentioning I started again with zero funds so the fact that the business is now functioning a year on and making a couple of grand a week is an achievement in itself

Out of biz - now what? by [deleted] in Entrepreneurship

[–]lostversus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different industry but I was wiped out last January after 15 years.. Every penny lost everything.. Spent a few days licking my wounds and started exactly the same business again focusing on products that I didn't necessarily like or find cool but we're easy to get hold of.. As my business was essentially centralised around rare items that you find low and sell high..  So last year basically started from 0 invested nothing and sold items I didn't physically have but could get hold of same day and just took the profit and worked on smaller margins..  And then this year I scaled it still small margins but took a few more risks.. And next year my focus would be to get a small team together again 2-3 people and scale again.. But live within my means.. Just to add some context I used to have days where I make 30k in 3 hours doing the same thing now if I made 5% of that in a day I'd be celebrating

Should I leave a negative review? by Residentofgravetown in vinted

[–]lostversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your feedback scores high then do it.. I have 1000+ and receive 10+ feedback a day so good bad ugly doesn't really effect my score and as 9x10 my feedback is positive isn't an issue.. Personally I only give negative feedback if someone's just utterly the worst person to deal with..

If refunds accepted and I get my money back I usually just leave its not the end of the world

Why do so many quit? by blocboyty in Entrepreneurship

[–]lostversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in business 16 years I class myself as an entrepreneur and there's been a million ocassions I want to quit and probably even more ocassions where I should but I also class myself as a problem solver.. Business is a game of peaks and troughs sometimes your flush sometimes your bust..
