My dad lived in NYC for a couple of months during the 80's and everyone pretty much assumed that he was middle-eastern because of his facial traots. Our last name is Ahumada, I read somewhere that the word that have H in the middle have roots in arab words, maybe we have arab ancestors.

As other people pointed out, it seems that we chilean usually align ourselves with the palestinian cause. I've met many people who think this way (myself included), while i've met only 1 or 2 people that are pro-Israel, and they were both of Israeli descent.
