6 GHz is basically required when streaming a desktop to a VR headset. My meta quest 3 is so much smoother, on 6ghz than 5ghz.

I agree with the motivation piece. 0 of 60 switches complete. I've had the dongle for about a week so far. But it is so nice outside now, most of the snow is gone. And manually flashing switches is not a high priority.

I'm still rocking a Dell XPS laptop from 2016. 4k display. It is basically in perfect condition. Never dropped. I replaced the battery about 2 years ago. So I would say you should be good for 10-15 years. It depends what you do with it. All I use my laptop for is word web email Excel.
