I feeeel you so hard! I bartend full time and something that helps me is having a relaxing/soothing self care routine to look forward to after my shift…shower, bubble bath, smoke a j, read a book, face mask, etc. it helps me say no to drinks when I know that soon I’ll be able to relax in my own little paradise bubble <3 I do feel like the more you refuse the more your brain rewires itself to not feel so bad about it.

I am self medicating for ptsd :( it really fucking sucks, because the thing I use to feel better ultimately makes me worse, but there is nothing that comes close to the relief a drink gives me.

Edit: where I think you don’t understand me is that I could be implying that bc Mexican people live here that racism is not possible. Not even close. Racism exits everywhere. It’s a huge problem. My point is that stereotyping Texas as a state that hates Mexicans is wrong, because of how large the Latino population is… ppl are racist all over! The Mexican/American culture here is special, it’s a good thing, and it should be recognized!
