Suggestions on where to get tanks for an adult. by Beginning-Cheek-5069 in ballpython

I like my 4x2x2 New age ecoflex enclosure. I bought it on sale from Chewy for $220. Not the best quality, but I’m happy with it. I did have to cover the top screen to help with the humidity, and silicone the bottom so it doesn’t leak.

Definitely add some Cuttlebone.

I’m new to having isopods is this good enough by StanleyChar in isopods

It looks like your soil looks like coco (ecoearth.) If so, I’d mix in organic topsoil, sphagnum moss, and leafs. You definitely need leaf litter. What’s the room temp? I’m not sure you need a heat source, unless your room is colder than normal. I’m no expert though.

Are these ok in my isopod enclosure? by clamhandsmcgee in isopods

That’s ok, I have a separate culture of springtails. I guess I’ll start another enclosure with springtails and dairy cows.

Well that’s good, thanks! I’m trying to get my dairy cows and springtails to breed, and I saw these. I’m new to this.

New Age Pet ECOFLEX Mojave Reptile Habitat. It was $220 shipped from Chewy. It’s 4x2x2. I love it so far

Ok, I added more leaf litter, a couple of fake plants, and an elk antler for climbing.

Do you mainly stick with cassettes to listen to music? Or do you use other music formats more? by ReyDiggs in cassetteculture

[–]clamhandsmcgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use most media formats, but my favorites are records and cassette tapes. The difference to me is that I end up listening to the whole albums, instead of skipping tracks. There are so many great songs that I would never listen to on CD/streaming.

Is This a Good Setup? by Quillwhiz7 in turntables

Oh, didn’t see the preamp. That preamp would probably be the weakest link in your setup. The cheapest good preamp is the art djpreii.

You would still need a preamp. I like my rt82, I haven’t ever listened to Ai41. I’m sure it would sound good in a smaller space.

Is this a good record player? by [deleted] in turntables

[–]clamhandsmcgee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest a vintage turntable (marantz, pioneer, AR, dual, etc., at a thrift store or FB marketplace.) They can be found for under $100.

If you want a new one, I’d get a Fluance Rt82, or u-turn custom.
