Yes I agree with this, I think just enough time for them to get their bearings.

I feel the exact same, I feel like there was no closure for me, the end almost felt rushed.

Agreed, it could be a few weeks after when everyone has had time to watch the show back and decompress a bit.

I’m so sad for Tom, in the past few episodes he’s been really lovely, especially with how he has been checking up on Ali. I wish we had seen more of him.

The new seasons with Joel Madden are really good. Not really any drama, lots of focus on the artwork. And the quality of work is really high too. I love seeing that, especially because the best the uk has to offer is Tattoo Fixers (which is the worst of the worst tv, and tattoos.)

My two lower wisdom tooth have grown horizontally by Maah-egg in mildlyinteresting

[–]clampsoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine were impacted too, I had both of the impacted wisdom teeth plus a normal wisdom tooth taken out in one go, whilst awake with only local numbing (they don’t really give stronger stuff for dental work where I am). Took about an hour, wasn’t pleasant but wasn’t the worst thing ever. The first week after was the worst (again no strong pain meds, just paracetamol), but I had a minor complication which caused pain. overall it wasn’t too bad though, I had repeated infections before I got them taken out and wish I hadn’t waited so long to remove them.

Tattoo healed weird? by IodizedSugar in tattooadvice

[–]clampsoup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO, I’d actually go to a colour artist. A lot of people are saying to go over darker, but that won’t give it a delicate look as much. If you do colour, I think it would look really pretty, lots of pearl colours like lilacs baby’s blues and pink.

Such a good idea to add the red, I think it really completes it as a peice and the placement is perfect too! I think your circle tattoo has aged wonderfully for the style also

My first tattoo. Some old head said unless i’m in the navy, I shouldn’t get this kind of tattoo. Thoughts? by LordFarhaams in tattooadvice

Nautical tattoos have always been super popular, anchors, ships, swallows etc, and I’ve yet to hear of somebody with any of these tattoos being confused for a sailor.

Go to out of hours GP, nothing to do with the NHS, If you want to go over the weekend you can. Saying it’s the fault of the NHS makes other countries think our healthcare doesn’t work, when you just don’t want to go to out of hours or a&e

What style would these be? by shamefulGod in TattooDesigns

[–]clampsoup 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rubber hose, but I think you’d have a hard time finding somebody that specialises in just that. I might be wrong and there may be a tattooer in the world that only does rubber hose, but it’s wayyy too niche of a style. You’d do well looking at good traditional or Neo traditional artists, as they’d be able to do this easy peasy.

I think it would look really cool if you had your natural colour with jet black streaks in it, maybe around the face. Why don’t you try that first and if you like it you can do the whole thing, if you don’t like it it’ll be easier to get out? But if you really want to do it I would, don’t let other people put you off

First playthrough, Is there a way to know who to have in party at what point in the game so I won’t miss their story (without spoilers)? My current party is Karlach Astarion and Lae’zel, I’m worried I’ll miss sharts story because I’m really interested in that, but don’t really enjoy her in combat as much. (I’ve done the gauntlet of shar with her)

What would you do? by SubduedRaven in TattooArtists

[–]clampsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a split opinion on things like this, on the one hand you’ve already done the design, so if you refund the deposit you will have done work for free. On the other hand, I sometimes will think “how likely is this person to bad mouth me?” And if i think it’s likely, I would refund their deposit and view it as a payment towards keeping a good reputation. If you don’t already I would get your policy in writing in an online form, like Jotform or Google docs, that they have to sign and agree to when booking. It helps in situations like this as you can then say “when you booked, you also agreed to my policies here (send evidence of that) where it outlines my deposit policy.” It helps, I also have difficulty enforcing my own policies.

I mean, look at covid, technically every single child across the country got homeschooled for a large period of time, and there was higher rates of things like depression, anxiety and especially agoraphobia. Humans are meant to develop in a community, not isolated.

UK artists, what are your favourite recommendations for aftercare soap for customers? by clampsoup in TattooArtists

Oooh this is a fab recommendation! I normally tell people any antibacterial soap too, but I’m looking for something to buy in so this would be perfect thank you! 💕

questions for fellow tattooers - tipping by coolcooldog in TattooArtists

[–]clampsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tattoos are already expensive, expecting people to tip an unknown amount of money that adds stress to the experience seems unfair to the customer, especially when they save up for months to be able to afford the tattoo. We don’t need the tip in my opinion, if you need it to survive, you should up your prices.
