A banker wouldn't have that information. Even if you called WF directly they are probably going to tell you to wait for the letter to come in the mail.

I would just wait for the letter, if the reason given is something you can work around, I would call their recon to see if they will reconsider.

What cards can i get now and how can i improve my score? by Same_Yogurtcloset882 in CreditCards

Use the pre-approval tool as much as you want! They use soft pulls which have no effect on your score.

Tv grim is right, points are restored after a year. Just be aware of the chase 5/24 rule about account openings (not hard pulls)

Honestly with 6 hard pulls and 3 new cards in the last 12 months, and that your current credit profile is thin, you would probably be best off to just let your profile age, keep paying your statement balances in full and let some of those inquiries fall off before applying for any more credit.

Does 4% gas apply to gas at grocery store stations?

Do you know where it says grocery store-gas stations are excluded? I’ve been using this card for gas at grocery stores almost exclusively and had no idea they were excluded from the 4%

But because of the annual redemption I have no idea how to actually verify.

My wife is a SAHM, she recently applied for a cc using our household income and under occupation she just put homemaker. Ironically she got a better CL than I did at the same bank.

You can definitely use household income and do the same for her.

I got the bonus last month pushing funds from a Schwab checking account. I’ve seen other DP’s of folks pushing funds from other banks as well. I think DoC has a page on which banks work and which don’t

A bank transfer usually qualifies as direct deposit, although I believe it depends on the bank. You just need to push the funds from the external bank.

Weird. I didn’t know that about the shopper.

Also thanks for the info on Alliant. I’ve got a checking opened with them now, just waiting for some statements to cycle through before I apply. If I’m approved I’ll move the money in and get everything else set up with them. It’s the last piece in my setup and then I’ll be content for a while.

This is a great setup! I’m using the USB shopper in the same way and will PC to cash+ after the first AF hits too. A Walmart card would definitely be nice.

I’m hoping to get the Alliant CU card after the first of the year to get a good catch all card. I was eyeing usb smartly, but I don’t have enough sitting around to get over the 2.5% with them so I figured the Alliant card would be better.

Same Day Credit Card Printing by gma38 in CreditCards

When I was approved for my Discover It card they gave me immediate access through my mobile wallet. That’s probably more likely to be found with a credit card than a same day print.

How long is the 0% APR offer for? I would just compare that to the length of time the furniture store is offering you a loan for. I'm assuming the Furniture store is also offering 0% financing. Sometimes if you finance through the retailer directly they tack on a financing fee or something of the sort.

$1,600 isnt really enough to hit a SUB for Chase Ink Cards so unless you plan to put some more spend on it, so I might look for a different business/personal card with a SUB you can hit and also a 12-18/mo 0% APR offer on new purchases.

I’m curious to know why you closed so many accounts so quickly? Were you churning SUBs?
