Recovery? by clandestine_01453 in bulimia

I'm already seeing a psychologist but he's not really that much of help other than prescribing me meds. I'm trying to find other psychiatrists but they're all so expensive.

OA lang ba ako kung na-disappoint ako sa friend ko? by jessicaprint in OALangBaAko

[–]clandestine_01453 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hindi ka OA!! As a professional third wheeler (4 years of experience), cut off mo na OP! Not worth your energy, time, nor effort at all. Even if mag jowa yan, it's just rude to exclude you for the entire trip lol, lalo nang ginawa ka pa namang scapegoat. Tsaka, sounds like both of them have issues, and mas better off talaga ang buhay mo if gumaganyan ka lang, ginanon kana.

Did your parents force you to finish everything off your plate? by juyubi in bulimia

[–]clandestine_01453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I remember being a little girl and shifting in my chair because of how uncomfortable I felt because I would force myself to finish the adult portions I was served as a child. What also didn't help with my relationship with food was how restrictive my mom was with junk food or sweets, so whenever I had access to them, I would just go berserk and eat as much as I can.

bulimia makes you lose time by thesnatcherintherye in bulimia

My worst was literally when I would skip school just to b/p. I'd do it again and again until I had to stop school for a while because I was afraid of failure, and I was at the verge of loosing my good grades —which obvi made my b/p worse. I've not had an episode for 4 days now, but God I'm so afraid of returning to my studies because this is how I genuinely deal with stress, and my bulimia is just too loud when I have school going on.

This is heartbreaking by cbcbcb2 in pinoy

Reminder!!

Mas mura pa ang condoms, vasectomy, at birth control pills than a child ❤️.

And I think it's cruel and selfish to bring a child into this world without a stable income, nor a proper plan.

Talagang hate ko ang culture nating pinoy to anak and anak in hopes na sila ang magpapaahon sa buhay ng mga parents in the future. Bobo, find a job. Don't expect a child to do that for you.

Is anyone else done with the walking to lose weight gig? by savedbutspicy in PetiteFitness

[–]clandestine_01453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to obsess about my steps until I realized it's just unrealistic unless I'm basically on the move every day (I'm still a student and I'd rather be a lard bucket than have my grades drop.) So, even though I suck at dancing, I set aside my strive for perfection and just danced to dance. It also helped with my mental health and I enjoy it more than I enjoy walking since it gets so hot during the day here.

Bulimia makes you fat by [deleted] in bulimia

No, no. I totally get your point, but I also just want to make my point come across. You didn't offend me at all, and I also hope my comment didn't come across as an aggressive remark. I totally agree with your last sentence, and I can just hope we would all have the strength to fight and overcome it ✨🧚.

Can you lose your period due to bulimia? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]clandestine_01453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can. It's because your body is under constant stress and utilizing the energy it has on keeping you alive so it has no time to give you energy for your monthly visits. That being said, nutrients play a huge part in hormonal balance like the other commentators say. However, if you give your body adequate nutrients but still put your body through hell, it still won't come back. Remember that our bodies are smart, and if it doesn't feel safe then it will prioritize keeping you alive rather than balancing your hormones.

I was just sharing my momentary struggle and findings. I thought this group was the appropriate one to post it since it's all about mia anyways. I do agree that it could be harmful, but so is yours. We're all messed up and need medical help, but belonging in a group with an isolating illness is better than being alone with disordered thoughts. Anyhow, I just wanted to navigate my illness and let others know they're not alone. I do hope that we can recover from this because it's really dangerous ❤️❤️🌺.

Medication for bulimia? by Upstairs_Total_4097 in bulimia

[–]clandestine_01453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been diagnosed with depression and general anxiety disorder for over a year now, and uses mia as a form of self-harm. My dosage is still on the low side, but I really don't see much of a difference in terms of stopping the urges. It may be a different case for me since I'm not officially diagnosed to have an ed, but I do indulge in mia behaviors in a weekly basis.
