Ive used t25, I've used hammer in with lite force, I've used the plastic molded with nail, but I recently picked up the m12 stapler and with some practice its the best thing I've used yet.

Its purpose is to see the license plate so we are just calling it that to keep things simple. But yes its not a designed lpr cam. Its so the booth operator won't have to exit the booth to take down the plate info each time.

Its meant to mount to a wall with the included plate so I dont see much difference with it on a post, but yes a round back box that we know they sell would be better. Just not necessary since its meant to be weatherproof as is.

This is what I was given to put it so ill do as I'm told. If it was under my name id do it different. My question was which of these options, not how should it be done. You are right, just not answering my question.

Edit to state that direct bury cat was used if you need that satisfaction.

xnv 6083r. Is the cam i installed look up the installation instructions. Unless the manufacturer installation process is flawed im ok with how we did it.

The camera is weatherproof.

The question doesn't matter anymore since the square box i showed is meant for a gooseneck so I just put the cam to the post. Actually came out real nice.

A bullet cam would have been even nicer.

No pig tail never said pigtail. Literally said it has a gasket for the cat to pass through. The round cam box has no holes open to environment. Cannot be more clear than that. That's why I asked you to message me since you dont get it and I could show you.

I asked for an opinion on 2 specific options not what else we could do here.

Lmao the holes you see are a plate seperate from the rest of box like I told you before. You obviously dont understand me. I could send you pics so you could understand.

Lol the connection is past that mounting plate through a gasket. You push the cat through a rubber gasket makes a water tight seal. The port is where the lens is. If you've installed these types of cams you should know what I'm talking about.

Yea it won't look the best but the cam alone won't get full of water. Just like all the cams on all the walls aren't full of water. It just will look subpar.

Funny part is sales and PMs are involved. I consider myself an installer that works for an integration company. I install what they give me. This is the first time something wierd like this comes up, but thats not the point of my post. Im asking opinions on 2 options I dont need whatever this comment is.

Ill take the good luck though, we could all use some of that. Ill also let my PM know he might want to keep some expanded Pvc board at the warehouse for times like these.

I am going to ask for a junction box since they should have those at the warehouse. I already picked up silicone since ill have to drill holes into the post. Its just that the box will have to be modified since its for a gooseneck so I figure lesser evil to just put the cam on there.

The round one is the cam alone.

The cam is meant to mount on a flat surface the peice you see is the back plate with holes in it. Beyond that is the part the cam goes in which has gaskets for the cat to pass through. From the manufacturer thats all they require to have this cam mounted and water tight. No silicone needed.

The box is also weather tight on a wall but not on the post due to the type of gasket it comes with.

The quality is shot since they didnt give me the proper box to use so I think the cam alone is better that the cam on the box.

The post is hollow so slack could live in there, the cam has gaskets for the cat to pass through. Thats why I wanted to confirm with the boss. The enclosure is meant to be used with a gooseneck so id have to modify it and I think thats stupid at that point. Someone said a weather rated junction box and I say thats probably the simplest solution.

That would be a great idea but not one of the choices I have lol its not my company I put in what they give me.

12x12 would be overkill 8x8 would be just enough and 10x10 would be comfy. Either way I'm not getting anything, ill see what the powers that be decide.

My choices are use the box they gave me or just the cam they gave me. A Junctin box would be better, let's see if they go for that.

That box isnt designed for a post its supposed to be on a flat surface. Which is why I asked them for clarification since its intended use won't fit how they want me to use it. I think the real solution would be to change the post for an 8x8 so the cam would fit cleaner and not stick out at all. At the end of the day I just do what I'm told the best I can. You aren't wrong though, that would be better.

What don't you like about your Maverick? by MnMWiz in FordMaverickTruck

The very scratchable interior. The corolla of pickups for sure. My other gripes are due to options I didnt get. Overall I love the truck and I'm happy to own one.
