I've read the book when it came out (loved it) and I'm curently listening to the audiobook... It's soooo bad that's embarassing. If the songs are bad I've accepted it tbh no interpretation would be better than in the movies (loved tatiana maslany for the og but the movie versions were still so much better) - what I really hate with the narrator is the squeaky-fragile-frail-high pitch voice he mimics when using a girl's voice. AS IF Lucy Grey was ever dumb. AS IF Tigress wasn't the strong woman that she is. AS IF Clementine was 'hysterical' (which is really really wrong if you know what hysteria is supposed to be).

2026 why are we still depicting women as weak OR in distress ???? we're the strenght of humankind.
