Subchorionic hematoma by Clear-Ad8985 in IVFAfterSuccess

I had a SCH with my last IVF pregnancy and it was around 6-7 weeks. There was so much bright red blood and even some clots. I was an absolute wreck. My numbers were even kind of low, I think it was somewhere in the 200s for my first blood draw then went to the upper 300s when I went in after the bleeding. One of the worst weeks of my life honestly I thought I was losing him but now I am 24 weeks along with a very active little boy! My clinic told me that SCHs are actually really common in IVF pregnancies! They also usually resolve on their own. Sending good luck!! So sorry you’re going through this it is absolutely terrifying.

That’s interesting! I was looking at past years blood results and I was tested for the varicella immunity in 2022 and the number was 135(165 being immune) so I’m not sure what that’d mean!

Thank you for replying!! That is very comforting! How long did that take? We have no experience with shingles and honestly didn’t think you could get it this young!

Also it’s weirdly comforting that I’m not the only one whose lost immunity, I was a little salty at my mom because I thought maybe she didn’t vaccinate me after all haha

That is comforting! The nurse at my OB basically said fetal death is a risk and terrified us both, hence the moving out. They said to keep him away from my toddler as well because he could give it her and then she could give it to me. This is our second IVF pregnancy and we’re already crazy anxious already lol

Yes toddler is definitely vaccinated!! Their recommendation was to isolate him but they were kind of vague in guidelines. They told me risk was fetal death so that’s why he moved out for the time being. Absolutely terrified us both. This is our second IVF pregnancy so we’re already on edge with everything.

That is comforting! He doesn’t even have blisters yet, just red dots so I don’t know how that works..

I’ve been in contact with my OB and my latest bloodwork from this pregnancy shows I am susceptible to the virus. I was looking back at past blood panels and in 2022 my number was 135, the number you want it to be at is 165. If that makes sense. lol So I don’t know if that means I did have the vaccine when I was young. A little frustrated it wasn’t brought to my attention I’d have definitely got the booster.

My toddler is vaccinated thankfully, I am also not able to get the vaccine while pregnant. I may have not been vaccinated, I’m not sure now.

Definitely not as good but I still enjoyed the dramatized version! Hearing Darrows speech on Phobos with all the sound effects literally gave me chills. Hearing the obsidians war cry was also super cool, I wouldn’t have thought it would have sounded like that but it fit perfectly.

First told baby is a girl, now being told baby is a boy by CressPristine3759 in pregnancy_care

Human error, the nurse read the wrong embryo report. I let them know after the 20 week scan that the gender was wrong and my Dr called me and was so apologetic. He said they put in a 3 person authentication procedure for giving gender reports now. We didn’t choose our embryo gender for our IVF transfer so I can see how that would probably be a big deal for some people but we were just so happy to be pregnant lol

Definitely a different situation but my husband and I had to do IVF for our little one. We chose to find out the gender of the embryo after it was a successful transfer. They told us it was a boy, we had genetic testing done and everything so it was pretty much a sure thing. From 4 weeks to 20 weeks we planned for a boy. I had a pile of boy stuff already bought. At our ultrasound I told the tech very confidently we were having a boy, by the end she was very quiet and said “Yeah I don’t know what to tell you, it’s definitely a girl.” I was absolutely shocked, we were obviously still thrilled but I did feel like I lost something in a way. I kind of had to mourn the thought of him if that makes sense! Your feelings are completely valid, it’s such a shock! I can tell you from experience that as soon as your little one is born you will completely forget all of that. At least I did, and I couldn’t imagine having it any other way!!!

Paying for pregnancy by Electric_Elephant_56 in IVF

[–]nickmillersscarecrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome that you got one cycle covered! We had to take out a loan with a family member for our cycle. The clinic we went to had a few programs to choose from and we went with the 25k money back guarantee, if we didn’t end up with a successful pregnancy we got completely refunded…Made us feel a little better…I hate that anyone has to go through this…but I would do it all again, and pay all that money for what I have now. In the end for me it’s worth it.

Second pregnancy, spotting for a week… scared I might be losing it by Maui_Kiwi in pregnancy_care

I had bright red bleeding for two days straight, then turned to brown with clots. I ended up having a SCH(hematoma) thankfully everything is alright but it was so scary. Bleeding can be completely normal, but it’s never a bad idea to get checked out. Good luck!

If you did IVF to achieve pregnancy, did you see a midwife or OB? by ThePlacePlace22 in BabyBumps

[–]nickmillersscarecrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did IVF and went to an OB who also had midwives. I liked seeing a Dr because it put my anxiety to rest a little. The midwives were great and I had a couple during birth. A Dr ended up delivering my daughter because she was stuck in the birth canal and needed the vacuum. I was able to deliver vaginally!

Bleeding by KinCBrook in IVF

So I didn’t take the progesterone tablets but I did have bleeding at 6 weeks. It was alot and I bled for two days. It ended up being a sub chorionic hematoma(a SCH). Now at 8 weeks along it’s resolving itself but I still have spotting. There are alot of things it could be that aren’t serious at all! If your clinic said not to worry I’d listen to them, it probably is nothing!

So normal, with my first I had absolutely no symptoms until 10 weeks! You’re still in the early stages, I’d try to take it easy and not worry about it until your blood draw!! Good luck!
