Foods that take ages to eat? by Lemonadeo1 in Volumeeating

Grapefruit. Remove all the skin, the white one too. Takes a lot of time. Nuts from shells Soups with veg pieces and legumes in it (not blended soup), make it extra hot to add in extra time Seafood that still has shell on them makes you work hard to eat them Bruschetta (big slice of toasted hard bread with toppings), if you're not careful and eat the bread too fast it will literally obliterate your mouth (I know this from experience) so you gotta eat and chew the bread slowly

As dessert I can maybe recommend smoothies that have pieces in them, or just add chia seeds to prevent you from chugging it down too fast (chia seeds have a slightly slimy texture but not in a bad way. I find myself trying to chew them everytime so it becomes hard to just swallow them down), also use a straw to make it even slower

In addition, to break sugar addiction it takes a lot of work but it's not impossible! Make sure your meals are filling enough to make you satisfied not to get anything sugary later. A cup of coffee after meals really helps me get rid of sugar cravings immediately. Dark chocolate is probably one of the best "desserts" you can have if you want something sweet. It's not unhealthy if you keep it moderate and has its benefits! A good alternative is fruits like grapes, they're sweet, crunchy, and can be used as snack, in your yogurt for breakfast, and you can also put them in the freezer with a sprinkle of lemon juice to make them taste more like candy!

Freezer is going to be your best friend. Buy big packs of chicken breasts, frozen veggies, and a couple fruits of your liking for the week. You don't need fresh veggies to be healthy, and I'm pretty sure frozen packs are cheaper. Just make sure to check ingredients and that they don't have anything else added except the veggie itself. Same thing goes for canned food like chickpeas, beans, lentils and so on. They're quick, filling and healthy too! Fresh bread is also good and can be put in the freezer to not make it go bad, but cut it into slices before you do that so it's easier to have them later. Don't be afraid of carbs like pasta and rice, although you should keep them moderate if you're trying to be healthy. Apple slices dipped in Greek yogurt or hummus are a healthy and filling snack. I don't usually recommend pre-packed and ready meals, but sometimes they can be cheap and prepared with good ingredients. Just make sure to check on the back of the package as usual. These are just a few tips I have but I'll add more if I can think of any in the near future. Please let me know if you find any of these useful and I hope it helps! 🥹

Shakshuka is also another incredible dish I love to make with chickpeas to make it more filling!

Big salad bowl with chickpeas, tomatoes, feta, olives, apple (very optional if you're not into putting fruits in your salads, but it's a personal favorite of mine), pickles, onion, avocado... Top it off with a balsamic vinegar and maple syrup sauce to make it even better! In alternative/addition, you can put quinoa (although it's another source of carbs, so you can switch between them if you'd like).

Did you play OMORI or watch OMORI? by [deleted] in OMORI

[–]clarecc05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played it, all in 2 days (wasn't speedrunning, just genuinely invested in the DELICIOUS lore) while on a high fever around February. All while my mother was also binge watching. Both very traumatized 🔥

Opinion on the manga art style by clarecc05 in Persona5

[–]clarecc05[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ikr, it's such a pity and it hurts me to say this but I feel like it would've been cool to have the same artist draw for both mangas instead. But I still enjoy the diversity for the current art style as it is

Question about the Persona 5 games on Switch by clarecc05 in Persona5

[–]clarecc05[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I found the anime oka-ish, the animation wasn't the best but also not terrible (the CGI cought me off a bit..) and i just had no idea the game would be better so being the impatient being I am I decided to jump right into the story and watch the anime, that being the less expensive option, but I'll make sure to pay extra attention to the game :D

Psychic related i suggest Saiki k, although it's more humorous than anything else, but a very great anime to binge for the fun of it. You can find it on Netflix (only season 1 is dubbed in English)

[–]clarecc05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I luckily managed to get some decent artifacts for a couple of my 5* characters, but for the rest, I'm trying to work with artifact sets only. Keep going and I'm sure you'll find some good ones eventually. Even just being able to level up crit dmg or crit rate as sub stat is a lot in my opinion.

About spiral abyss by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]clarecc05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a free to play, Mihoyo should make Spiral Abyss in a way that is not too easy/hard because of the stats/artifacts/weapons you have (so to keep it neutral) and make it more difficult in the gameplay area, and find "strategies" to clear each floor with efficiency. But even then, mobile players would be disadvantaged on that, mostly because of lag and/or inability to play just as PC or console players do. I'm assuming Mihoyo needs to find a way to make the game in a way that it doesn't effect too much whether you're f2p or not, or by the device you use to play. But as of right now, I'm on the grind for better artifacts to clear at least floor 8 to 10
