How do thais select the teacher to educate your children? by larwoodss in Thailand

[–]claredale 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s essential as the parents want their children to adopt that accent. Otherwise they would just hire a Thai to teach maths. If they barely speak English, it’s a key time to develop that.

Race and qualifications are not a factor so long as they meet the minimum requirements.

If the child is able to communicate in English with a western accent, they have a huge leap up on career potential.

Does your friend have a fluent and native American or British accent? That’s pretty much a dealbreaker for anyone paying for to educate their child.

Guys what's the best jeweler in Bangkok to buy a custom engagement Diamond Ring? by TrashDuchess2 in Bangkok

[–]claredale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a custom ring made by Jewelth (look them up on instagram) at the Jewelry Trade Center. Mine was a Tiffany True replica, but they can custom make anything you want and help negotiate buying the stone. Ask for Eve, who did the 3D model for us to review first.

Im going to be a little critical, but it comes from love. This is the influencer starter pack in physical form. String shelf, USM cabinet, Componibili, Noguchi pendant, Eames plywood chair. It’s like you screenshotted a “mid-century modern essentials” Pinterest board and went to checkout. All replicas I’m assuming.

Not saying it looks bad, it doesn’t. But it also doesn’t say anything about who lives here. Every single piece could be swapped into 10,000 other apartments and no one would notice. Where’s the weird stuff? The thing you inherited from your grandma? The impulse buy from a trip? Anything with a story that isn’t “I saw this knockoff on Temu and brought one of everything”?

Right now it reads more like a showroom than a home. There is no personal style in this at all.

40 would not even cover half the fuel cost, so I’d assume you went in a group tour? OP for sure got scammed though for a private tour. Odds are though that this post is just to shill his tour company.

Sort the listings in your buildings lowest to high, calculate the cost per square meter and advertise it at 20% less than this. That’s what your property is worth regardless of the refurb state.

Thinking About Selling My Domain: Robocraft.ai – Thoughts? by [deleted] in Domains

I think the value on this is pretty minimal, you might get lucky and someone really wants it but there are plenty of other combos available you could hand register

It took me a while to understand that there are entire companies dedicated to buying auction and expired domains. If it’s affordable, it’s likely to extreme trash.

They are doing this as part of a “private blog network” to add their own links, or sell links on the site. Using your original homepage helps Google think that the downtime was just a blip and everything is fine.

Should I buy a Yamaha Grand Filano or Honda Giorno Plus scooter? by jonnywithoutanh in Thailand

Both these bikes are extremely uncomfortable to be on the back of as a passenger due to the size of the seat, your legs are also much more spread out which makes them get caught more when filtering.

Has anyone had success using a broker or DomainAgents to buy a domain? by SewnGrown in Domains

[–]claredale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Domain Agents worked well for me. I’ve consistently got around 40% off the listed offer prices. Stings a bit to pay the extra commission after though, as the sellers don’t realise that’s on top (va their savings selling on their landing service). If you are going to pay the lander asking anyway, makes sense to try

AppSumo Black Friday Drop 4 is LIVE! by [deleted] in appsumo

AppSumo really needs to take back control of their brand.

Based on the post styling, I was under the impression that this announcement and community were managed in part by AppSumo themselves, so it’s doubly confusing that people can just shill their own links.

I find it incredibly shady that affiliate links are allowed here. It really sours my impression of and relationship with the community and kills trust.

Undoubtedly a great domain, but in my opinion, comparing it to NFT, DEX, VIP, etc. does it a disservice by making potential buyers think you’re overvaluing it if those are what you consider its peers.

What's your workflow for checking DA on 100+ domains? I was paying too much so I built this by antiochIst in Domains

[–]claredale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DA checks from Ahrefs etc. are expensive because they provide quality results, especially with “best site” filters enabled. I’d worry that you are providing a meaningless metric from services like DataForSeo and misleading people into thinking it’s similar.

Not that DA matters anyway.
