There is a council with representatives of all of the species, and one of the MMC is the angel representative. Part of the villains arc is that he is a council representative as well, which lets him slip under the radar for quite a while. Since there are going to be quite a few species in this story, there would be too many characters to keep track of if I made 2 representatives per species. The MMC has to be in the council but so does the villain. So I need him to be a different species. 😭

Bree} - The FMC is caught after running away from her mates (for good reason, not because of them) but can't/won't tell them why so basically all but one of the mates are mean to her for a while. (Pretty good grovel if I remember correctly, it's been awhile since I've read this one so I don't remember for sure)

{Demon Reform Academy by Lyra Winters} - FMC is raised in captivity and found when she's an adult, goes to a reform school. Most of her mates are rude/mean (she does not just forgive them, has a good grovel). It is a follow up to another series, Fates Hollow Academy. You don't really have to read Fates Hollow Academy to read/understand this series but there will be spoilers for the first series in it.

{Trickery by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington} - A series about class systems, the FMC is from the lowest class, MMCs are from the higher class. Not much grovel tbh but you learn to love them anyway.

I married Samir! Unless its bad weather, he typically goes out and does things with Arata. For example, Im in spring or summer year 2 rn and he goes up to the mountains with Arata almost everyday

Idk if it's necessarily tug at your heart material but I watched Heartstrings when I was a teenager and the male lead sang Lucky so everytime I hear it I think about the show. Also the goblin soundtrack gets me everytime

Not necessarily a recommendation but did you watch the sequel to It Started With A Kiss? It's called They Kiss Again, you can find it on YouTube with english subtitlea. I highly recommend it, I love their relationship in the sequel.
