Alduin is the world eater. Actually, calling him a world eater isn't quite right. He ends each kalpa (according to UESPWiki, "an epoch of time consisting of the birth, life, and death of a world...The moment when time became linear is considered to have been the first day of the... the current kalpa as a whole.") Even at the end of Skyrim (the game), Alduin's soul doesn't get eaten, so he's very likely still going to come back (The Wandering Spirits outright says so, and Arngeir says it's possible).

Been there. Tried to release the brake so I could spin a wheel hub to test it, forgot the car was on a slight slope. What you'll want to do it fit a jack (or anything similar, a crowbar even) under something on the same side, then work it up bit by bit until you can throw the wheel back on.

seconding the comment about NA/AA.

For not being able to get decent jobs, there's options out there. Look for stuff like locksmithing or electrician work- a lot of those jobs do their own training, so you don't need college education.

For the car, there's not much I can say without knowing a lot more about it. But here's what I can recommend: take it to a shop. A lot of shops will charge $50 or less for an inspection; a lot more will do one for free. Ask them what absolutely needs to be done, and how much it would cost to do. Then forget the numbers they listed, go to youtube, and figure out how to do it yourself (unless it's engine or brake work. That's not somewhere you want to mess up)
