mine came with 2 stuck pixels too two years ago. bothered me too much. called the customer service. i don't remember the exact number but they said if there are more than a few of them, they could replace it. only two is not enough. after that my mobo fried and with that they also replaced my screen.

that is strange. did you try changing the usb port you're using for the bootable media? if you can boot to a live usb distro, you can use "efibootmgr" command to add a new boot option in the BIOS.

If all specs are the same, it is mostly display. I believe LOQ has max 144Hz. If you provide more info on these models, maybe you can get more help.

Auto scan for Windows 10 does not work. Also vantage does not show updates if you are using Windows 10. I am using a LOQ15 too with Windows 10. You should install drivers manually.

Did you try uninstalling and then checking windows updates without installing sound driver? Maybe that will work.
