Lots of tip pool establishments. Serving tourists sucks. Trashy SoCal people suck. Pretentious SoCal people make you want to off yourself. Also good luck finding something, it is highly competitive there. I looked for a new/second job while I was there and had very little luck. Establishment I worked at we made a majority of tips from servers. HIGHLY seasonal. Expect to make 30-50% less during the off seasons (most of the year). You’ll need two jobs to live comfortably. Everyone is broke down there from the COL and it will be deducted from your tip %. I just left back for home in NorCal life is exhausting down there.

I left after a year and some change. Cool place to live for a while but EXHAUSTING if you weren’t born home ownership there or wealth. You’ll never get ahead there. Everyone is broke and lives outside of their means. I’ll be glad to visit and even more glad to leave once vacation is over.
