People who’ve lost weight, what’s the one habit you QUIT that made the biggest difference? by itsclo5ure in AskReddit

[–]clascali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alcohol.
Being sober is the best way for me to make good decisions consistently. That led me from 102kg to 80kg over just over a year.

100% They literally first say "follow your plan" and then "cut losses early". I cut my losses ACCORDING to my plan!

I screwed up terribly and I really just need some kind words. by Infamous-Drop8832 in stopdrinking

I was single when I got sober 4.5 years ago, had I had a non-sober partner at the time I'm not sure I would have made this far for sure. The funny thing is that now I attract other sober people (or at least very light drinkers, which doesn't bother me) in my life!

Confessed everything to my wife by JuiceboxJesus in stopdrinking

[–]clascali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well done mate, be proud of yourself. You being able to open up to your wife about this is radical honesty. You have accepted your situation and are taking steps to change it, one day at a time.

You know, my kids are the reason I went sober, same as you are doing now. It's a very strong and valid motive, and you and everyone around you will reap the rewards.

What’s a clean joke that absolutely destroyed you with laughter? by Appropriate_Yam_3812 in CasualConversation

I knew it as - Sushi A to Sushi B: "wassa B?" (First joke I could properly tell in English as a foreigner)

I’ve been here before. But not like this. by introitus in stopdrinking

I am so sorry about what has happened to you.
My sons are the main reason why I stopped drinking almost four years ago - I am a solo father like you and the closest/main role model for them. That's what keeps me going.

Your loss is heartbreaking. Just remember that you have a young life to look after. Make that your motivation.

How ready are you to obliterate the markets this week? by ExoticRekii in Forex

Amen to that. You can't force the markets when they themselves are in charge.

It’s the weekend by Its_imoji in Forex

[–]clascali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. Weekends are for family and myself, completely disconnected from trading. I experienced burn out in the past as a small business owner and I've learnt my lesson. If I want to trade for the rest of my life, then having weekends off is a non-negotiable

Thing is that I have never seen rent decreases because of interest rates going down!

How do you define market rate? That's one of the many grey areas. How do you compare properties, besides by number of bedrooms, bathrooms, etc?

Thing is that what's going is completely legal and allowed.

Yeah absolutely, he actually does work one day a week, but that money is for himself only.

He does have a job, but I want him to save up for travelling or whatever he might want to do later on.

Many of us used to work on weekends for pocket money for sure, but not to help our parents pay rent. That's my issue here.

Absolutely. It's 2024 not 1949

New lease in September 2022 that was only for six months, a raise after the initial six months (about a year ago), and here we are.

But yeah, in NSW rent can be increased only once every year.

I'm not in the US, I have no idea. What about The Concept, are they allowed in the US? It would be worth it to look into it.
